I’ve got to be honest, I’ve been in the weeds this past week. Trying to juggle it all. And it’s been really hard.
Back in January, I posted an ad for an assistant and started to interview people. My boss at my 9-5 job was going on maternity leave and she asked me to fill in as District Manager, while still doing my regular job.
Let’s just say, it has been really challenging to do my 9-5 sales job, while managing all of the other reps in California, while moving forward with my Soul Hustle, producing, recording, and editing the the Soul Encounters Podcast, and being a Mom.
There have been moments where I feel like my head’s spinning. And I know I need help.
But nothing worked out with my Ad for an assistant. I interviewed some people but none of them were the right fit. And time became an issue as it was hard to squeeze in interviews while juggling all of the above.
But I’m not giving up. I reached out to a company that connects entrepreneurs with virtual assistants. Hopefully, this will pan out. And, my boss comes back from maternity leave in April. I am counting down the days.
One thing I do know is, it’s so important to outsource and delegate certain tasks out. We can’t do it all. And why are we trying to? It’s okay to ask for help.

I felt culture shocked today, waking up in an actual house. Dreaming of coastal mornings waking to saltwater mist and cozy rain dancing on aluminum spaceships. But it’s a gift — running water, a bed, toaster ovens, space. Pancakes in bed, long overdue snuggles with our soon-to-be adventure cat. Days like today remind me of how simple a really beautiful day can be :)
It was almost exactly two years ago that @iamthepcguy and I took an impromptu road trip out to Wyoming and Utah. This was from our first stop at Medicine Bow. We had to slowly drive past a herd of cows that was casually standing in the road staring at us to later find out that the park was closed. It was also on this road that I had lost my glasses while we were out taking photos. Luckily, by using my camera’s gps, we were able to find where they had fallen out of my pocket. Surely the grace of God was with us throughout that entire trip. I hope to go back soon!
welcome to the world, Charlotte 💝🌏 a few months ago her mumma and i discussed a hospital new born shoot, along with her due date and my 2 trips to Mackay this month. it was only going to work if Charlotte had impeccable timing. turns out she does #attagirl 👏🏻. born on the 14.03 and photographed safe and sound in her parents arms on 16.03. She’s a bloody cutie x
I know that I complained a lot about this job, but working for @nordstrom at the Grove really helped me to cut my sales teeth. This job paved the way for me to have financial independence, and helped me to better chart out where I’d like to be in the next few years.
Thanks for bringing me into your company, and elevating my work experience. Here’s to parting ways. 🍻
@david_od doing his thing. so happy to have gotten to chat with this guy at the @coin show. he’s what inspired me to start doing concert photography, and i’m real glad i finally got to thank him for all the inspiration
Wednesday night something was activated in me that hasn’t been for a while. I was completely myself, I was with family. I think that’s what it’s partly about, unity. Going after the heart of the one who gave it all for us together. Amazing things are on the horizon for @bridgeport_kc and I’m honored and blessed to be apart of what he’s doing. Worshipping him with family is everything. @benpwoodward @adamsniegowski @kimlswain @timyorkmusic @musicaextremica 📸 @ohsnapjeff
I read this the other day and damnn. Mic drop. It speaks so much truth. Commitment is the glue to making big things happen. Often we search for excellence and it’s the work you put in day in and day out that forms and molds those big dreams. Generally that excellence starts off in a whole other place. Like take a throwback at your first insta post-cringeworthy? At least mine is. But, because over time I’ve learned, I’ve changed, and gotten better. Or even when I start doing push ups, I will work on my form and how many and my push up game is much stronger than when I decide to do them every once in a while. Taking a break or doing them every once in a while is like starting over each time. Consistency is key to seeing better results. And work for excellence. It's easier to settle for mediocre or push out something not as great when time is involved, but excellence is what stands out. Excellence is what people are driven to. It’s seeing it through, especially when you hit hiccups and road bumps along the way. Adjust it, learn, fine tune, tweak, fail, grow, and most of all keep pouring into it and commit.
