Egg scramble with mushrooms and onions, side of old fashioned oats with a dash of cinnamon and stevia, and a fresh cup of coffee ❤️💚💛 Pre-workout meal on my plan is 1 veggie, 1 protein, 1 carb, and 1 tsp butter/oil. Eating the right portions at the right times of day to balance out my macros is responsible for 90% of my results. And it’s so damn delicious 😍
Breakfast! My favorite meal of the day. I used to, in my teens and 20s, tell myself I didn’t need breakfast or that I didn’t like it. And that wasn’t true...it was just a sneaky way for me to get out of eating a meal and to consume less calories. I used to believe that by starving my body I could make it smaller. And while...yes you can do that, it’s not healthy or necessary. I’m in the best shape of my life at 32 and I eat all the foods. Not too much but also not too little. Balanced between the food groups. I don’t feel deprived. #winning

Just a few ideas on ways you can include them into your daily diet but the takeaway here is simply: to start reaping their amazing health benefits + include them into your diet if your personal diet allows for it. Foods that make us FEEL great, help us to PERFORM GREAT🙌

What I buy at the supermarket has completely changed the last few years. The more I cooked, the healthier I shopped. Here’s a look at some of my recent purchases. The main takeaways:
1. Always buy ghee over butter. I’ll talk more about ghee another time, but it’s clarified butter, a healthier choice and has become a staple among paleo eaters. 2. Primal Kitchen’s products kick ass. Whether it’s their salad dressings or mayonnaise, their products will always be both fresh and delicious.
3. Berries have a lot less carbs than other fruits like apples or bananas, so when in doubt, buy berries.
4. Buy organic when you can. The golden rule - if it’s a food that has skin you won’t be eating, there’s no need to spend the extra bucks on organic (i.e. avocados, bananas, oranges.) Happy shopping!
