“Rest does not come from sleeping but from waking.” — A Course in Miracles ⠀⠀
Wake up for there is work to be done my loves 💕 There is healing, and living, and loving to be done, and the beauty of the whole world to behold ♡
Did you know we included stationary in each LOVE box for a handwritten note? We love the idea of taking the time to write your sentiments down, to put pen to paper and pour your heart into words rather that type a hurried text. When was the last time you received a handwritten note? Only a few of these sweet boxes left! Treat yourself to one today!! 🌹
If you caught my Stories today, I was knee deep in making freezer meals in big batches! We’re set for quick meals now for basically the next month and I know I’ll be grateful on weekday nights, but right now I’m exhausted. Anyone else have tips on beating the weeknight dinner pains?
A grainy selfie photo, but I love it so much. Snuggling on the couch with this tiny bean watching a movie listening to the rain beat the window. Outside the frame.. 3 boys huddled around my legs all under the same blanket. Forecast has snow for the next week. So we are hunkering down and snuggling

Who would have thought camping in the desert would be so beautiful? It is so strange having your home with you everywhere, but the scenery is always changing. When I wake up in the mornings, sometimes I have to really think about where we are. It is an exciting, but crazy adventure. The sunsets never get old.
.seems like we’ve been cooped up here for months! these snapshots are a collection of the few times we’ve managed to venture outdoors over the past few weeks as we talked and prayed through scenario after scenario about if and when we should leave again.
we’ve made some decisions about which direction we should go for the immediate future - not exactly easy ones since it requires that we delay traveling yet again - but ones that we hope will set us up for longer term success down the road.
We’ve decided to stay in PA for the time being and keep working towards our financial future and designing a lifestyle that will give us our version of freedom down the road.
Getting out of debt was just half of the story. Diligently working towards a sustainable future is the other half… And the one we have decided that we need to focus on for the time being.
Not going to pretend that it hasn’t been extremely difficult to figure out what exactly we should be doing… And I can’t say that we have actually figured out all the details yet - but we hope that you will keep following us on this journey as we continue to live out our simple and minimal lifestyle and seek to keep growing and taking on new challenges. we also love learning from others and sharing experiences, so never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or just want to share your own projects and goals. let’s keep each other inspired! ✨
What does this look like to you? This is a blank page. For many, it can be a platform for expression, scribbling art, or even just writing things down.
For me, this is a blank page where I can either brain dump or make a shopping list. My mind goes in overtime 24 x 7 and yet there is nowhere for me to put my ideas. I can say that pen to paper is one of the best methods to create authenticity and creativity. It's a platform that is not widely used as a result of technology change. I have lists, concerns, ideas, and dreams that sometimes I have nowhere to put them down. Social media is a canvas for expression. But without chasing silver linings and shiny objects that come with social platform's, pen and paper is my best medium.
This page is empty yet come tomorrow, it will be full of ideas and expressions and lists of gratitude. I will have pens and pencils and crayons and highlighters because I feel creativity is best born from the mediums we grew up with. And I will share them on social media later on.
My point is this: Release creativy, ideas and rockin ass-big goals to pen & paper until you find a system that works for you. .... and then trust in the process. The magic will happen. ✌
You guys. We *finally* set up our greenhouse and started a bunch of seeds today!! 😍😍 I am so happy!! I got most of the seeds started with the help of my 5 yo, she was a pro. It was so lovely to work on this with her!
I am so so so grateful to be back in my happy place. Seriously, this was therapeutic.
Now let’s just hope they do well out there. Its an experiment starting them in this little greenhouse with no artificial light. But we’re in FL and it will get a lot of sunlight, and I *think* we may be passed the coldest weather...sooo...we shall see! 🤞🏼
Lately, I been reducing the sugar in our jams by stirring a tablespoon of kombucha in the jar and storing in the fridge ( otherwise it can explode, apparently). This means the buch can slowly nibble away at the sugar. It's a trick I read in the awesome book 'Ferment' by @hollydaviswholefood and now I want to try it everything! Has anyone tried it in things like tomato sauce?
Breakfast all day > weekend brunch 🍌🥜🍞Slept in this morning with no alarm set & then visited with college friends at Baked & Wired’s sister cafe/bakery. Same type of food I eat at home – simple, delicious & cooking done well. Is it just me or does weekend coffee always seem to taste better? #abakedjoint#toast#dceats#washingtondc#simpleliving#slowlife
Finding the beauty in another cold, rainy Atlanta morning. A pain flare-up meant for a rough sleep last night, and I woke up very fatigued and in more pain. It was cold in the van, and everything was wet with condensation. It was a heavy, defeating atmosphere. But I pushed myself to #buildaladder and find something small to cheer me up. Anton drove us to the park, & helped me shuffle a lap around the park and play Pokémon Go😘 I cheered up taking some pictures, including this one📷💕 Then Anton surprised me with a new park I'd never been to (seen in my instagram story✨). I even managed to squeeze my sore rib cage into a sports bra, and go into the gym with Anton!🙌I walked very slowly on the treadmill while Anton did his full workout. I didn't last long on the treadmill lol! But I felt super accomplished! And can you believe it... the sun came out & warmed me up under a blue cheerful sky.😌☀️
So you have heard the term carrier oil or CO. But what is it, How do you use it and how do you know what kind to use with your oils?
What are they?
They are called carrier oils because they carry the essential oil into the skin.
When are they used?
Carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils before applying them directly to the skin.
Fast absorption carrier oils are
One of my favorite it's grapeseed oil. It's very moisturizing, restores collagen, rebalances PH levels of the skin, reduces scarring and helps prevent acne.
An example of how to use this oil as a carrier oil is 5 drops lavender essential oil + 5 drops frankincense essential oil + fill 4 oz. dropper bottle with grapeseed oil. Use daily as facial moisturizer 👌🏻
Late last year rockstar LA based (VT born) chef @travislimoge reached out for custom soup and salad bowls for a restaurant he was opening. To no surprise, @twoheystavern has received impressive reviews and tons of press. If you’re in LA/Pasadena, check them out. We’re beyond honored to have our work play a small role in the Twoheys experience. And, congrats Travis!!
