I love daily surprises! Well, the good kind anyway. I was tickled yesterday to come home from work to see the first forsythia blooms and first bridal wreath blooms. Now to wait for the whole bush to bloom! I need a macro lens! Sometimes I can get good photos with my lens if I play long enough, but these are not the best. I am going to just consider patience my friend in that when I finally am able to afford a macro lens and a distance lens, it will be all the more thrilling, appreciated, and with a grateful heart. Oh, snapped a photo of some daffodils too. I like the teal of my table behind them. Maybe I'll try my phone or plug in my underwater camera because it takes macro better. Stay tuned!
Rainy yucky day here and the "s" word is in the forecast for later today. So I took a photo of my new plant in a stone pot on the shelf over my kitchen window instead. What's it like where you live? Share a photo in the comments if you want of your weather or what's in your corner of the world. That Spring tease from last weekend still lingers in the back of my mind, although we were out working and planting yesterday. Do you remember the two terracotta pots I planted white and transplanted Lily of the Valley into last year? Everyone seemed to love them, but I was not sure the plants would come back. I saw signs of growth yesterday and was SO delighted! I'm anxious to see them bloom in the pots this year. Oh, and my first Daffodils bloomed a few days ago, but my crocus still has not! The first bloom this year is way behind last year. #mycornerphoto#natureinthehome#natureinside#springplanting#myweekofilovegreen
I am willing on Spring as best I can! I have begun to set up our resting haven (that is if, the neighbor's dog would stop barking at us) in the great outdoors. I bought 2 new pillows, one for the couch on the patio and this one for the swing on the front patio. I love how the horizontal lines of the pillow break up the vertical lines of the swing. When I sit I can raise it just a bit and it tucks into my lower back. I was initially thinking of a small pillow in the corner, maybe one that said "welcome," but when I spotted this one, I new it would be just right. Come sit down with me for a spot of tea!
I think it snowed here some last night. Now I know it can snow even into April, but I want it to go away because that Spring tease from last weekend is holding fast in my memory.
I am still waiting for my first Spring flower of crocus and daffodils, although I think they are close to blooming. #mycornerphoto
