Another day, another trip to the vet for Rex 😢 Friday night we ended up at the emergency vet getting blood tests done at midnight after he took another turn and we are still no closer to finding out what’s wrong with him. We had to cancel his photo shoot yesterday as he wasn’t well enough to attend - so embarrassing for a professional dog model haha Samples have all come back clear for bugs and parasites so he’ll start getting tested for allergies next! Poor little dog, he’s had a rough first 17 months of life health wise 🐶 💔 just goes to show you really have to be careful where you get your puppies from as we’re lucky to be in a position to help him get back to full health but who knows what would have happened to him if he ended up with another family 😢 get well soon mr Rex!!! 💕💕 #sickdog#longtermillness#mysteryillness#sickpet#sadtimes#getwellsoon#pets#vetcostssuck#keepthefaith
Poor baby seems to have a bladder infection. Of course it would be on a weekend when we can't take her in to the vet until Monday... 😕 Anyone's pups havethis issue before? Any tips on something to try? The oncall vet said ibuprophen until Monday when we can het her antibiotics.
PLEASE donate!😢💔 Thank you @angelsforanimalsrescue for caring for this baby❤
Alright Guys !!!! Here it goes ! I really, really need your help here! This poor female is being surrendered at Seacca by her owners , they cannot afford eye removal surgery . My heart is shattered and I really want to help. Seacca won’t take the time or money to do this surgery .... I can take her to my vet but I will need your help .
Here are some close up pictures of some of my most affected areas. (Second to last is my poor tail!) Several tests, scrapings, medications, and follow ups have left my vet to recommend a biopsy to determine if I have #pemphigus an autoimmune disorder 😔 So far we’ve raised almost $500 via #GoFundMe thanks to the generosity of others but we need a bit more in order to be able to schedule the biopsy, once the biopsy determines the exact cause I can start treatment. Can you help by making a small donation? Please click the link in my bio for more information and to make a contribution. Thanks so much to everyone for their well wishes! ❤️🐾 #pleasehelp#dogfundraiser#dogsofig
Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted but wanted to give you an update. I found out yesterday that I have cancer and a mast cell tumor under my ear. I have a biopsy scheduled next week to determine how aggressive my cancer is. Please send me all your love & light as I start this battle! #FCancer
My friend rescued her first dog when she was only 17 years old, now her dog is 10 years old and has a tumour in his mouth. My friend who is only 20 yo now needs help paying for his treatments. If any of you could be kind enough to donate anything that you can it would be hugely appreciated. Thank you in advance 💕💕💕DIRECT LINK ON MY PROFILE. www.leetchi.com/c/solidarite-pour-chance #cockerspaniel#adoptdontshop#sickdog#needshelp#bekind#helpothers#dogsofinstagram#doglovers
I’m not feeling so hot. If you couldn’t tell from this video I’m having a hard time breathing. 🙁 The vet took X-rays of my body today. They confirmed I have inflammation in my sinuses above my canines and in my trachea. I got antibiotics almost two weeks ago and it didn’t help. 😢
Tomorrow the radiologist is going to give my vet a call, to let us know what the next step will be to make me better. I hope it’s just icky medication that will do the trick. Surgery is very risky with my kidney failure.
Mom just wanted to let you all know what’s going on. With positive thoughts and swift action, hopefully I’ll be better soon! Today was very exhausting and I don’t particularly enjoy being poked and prodded at the vet. Goodnight everyone. Wish me luck that I kick this thing! ❤️
I need to ask my fellow doodle owners a question. As of last night, Bella started drooling. She has never drooled and has a very dry beard and mouth.
When she was on our bed last night she left a very large slimy wet spot on our comforter and there were two large spots on her pillow this morning. She continued during the day and she hasn’t stopped. Her drool is heavy and slimy, almost like a St. Bernard’s drool and it pools up in her mouth so when she lays down it just flows out.
I did some research as to why sudden drool happens and the only thing I can think of is her gums may be a bit sore from chewing on a bone we got her a few weeks ago. If a dogs gums are irritated, they will drool.
Her appetite is good and water intake light to moderate. She’s not a big water drinker and I hope she’s not dehydrated, which is one reason dogs suddenly drool.
I’d appreciate any feedback from others who may have experienced this with their doodle. A trip to the vet will be in order is this continues. You can see from the photo how shiny her drool is, thats because it’s a thick consistency.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
My little girl has been so sick lately with a very severe stomach bug, spent heaps at the vet already (over $1200 and almost daily visits) and she has to go back on Monday but she's worth every cent #germanshepherd#sickdog#furbaby
Gracie is the newest member of the West Coast Animal Rescue family. She had a pregnancy go very wrong and had to have emergency surgery to remove the puppies who had passed away. A big thank you Grace Veterinary Hospital who managed to get her in with no notice and rush her in to surgery.
She’s doing much better now, but is still not out of the woods. Her vet bills currently stand at about $2,000. Any donations to her care are greatly appreciated. The easiest way to donate is to send an etransfer to WCARS.BC@gmail.com.
Last Sunday Pancake was throwing up all day and wouldn't eat so I called sierra vet clinic in Santa Clarita and asked for an appt, I was told this sounds serious you should bring him in right away. I rushed him to the clinic and Dr Ron immediately told me he wasn't looking good and started to run tests and x-rays and blood work on him while giving him medication to stop the vomiting and put him on an IV drip. They were confident he had ate a foreign object. Their manager/head-tech Shahan and Dr Ron were amazing at taking care of my dog and constantly checked on him even though they were slammed with surgeries all day. That night shahan even came over to my house to make sure the catheter was in place and my poor pancake was doing ok.
The next morning Dr Ron with the help of shahan proceeded to operate and found a huge long sock in his intestines it was the size of my arm. They removed it stitched him up cleaned him up and put him on an iv all while I waited and was treated with great care by their receptionists Courtney and Sheila. Shahan has been continuing to come to my house to check on the dogs stitches and give him his medication. I can't thank Dr Ron and Shahan and sierra veterinary clinic in Santa Clarita for saving my dogs life and doing it at a very reasonable price. I don't think you can find a better place or better people anywhere in the Los Angeles or valley area to take care of your pets.
I highly highly recommend them for anyone in the area or even slightly out of the area to make sure their dog is taken care of the right way and treated just as good or better than you will treat them yourself.
Choupette survived the night! She is doing well and will go home tonight.
But I can't stress this enough.. people.... sterilize your animals! A lot of animals have this disease because they are not sterilized and they can die from it... it is deadly and it can be a matter of hours to be able to save them.. please sterilize! You can save their lives!
