Who else loves @flyingtigeruk and their amazing home products? I cannot go into town without doing at least one lap and coming out with something I didn’t realise I needed! These shelves are amazing. I love their asymmetric design and simplicity. They create some amazing shadows on the wall in the light as well. #shelfie#scandilove#scandistyle#homeinspo#houseplants#succulents#greenfingeres
Most relaxing weekend ever. 🙌🏻 🛀 Typing this from my road trip back to Chicago, but it was so nice to get out of the city for a few days. I read a bit of this book and so far, it’s keeping me interested. Will report back when I’m done!
💭 what’s your go-to genre for relaxing reading?💭 let me know down below!
Today I made lovely finds from my local library's book-recycling point: Amazingly moving biography "Wild swans" by Jung Chang, and two childhood tales by Enid Blyton. To celebrate that I organized my bookshelf for an hour and accidentally missed my school lecture. Worth.

I got a lot of reading in this weekend, including finishing this beaut yesterday, thanks to @gallerybooks for sending me this copy! It was such a delightful read! Anybody else ready for weekend round 2?🙋♀️ ✨
A modern-day retelling of Little Women, The Spring Girls will steal your heart all the same. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Enter Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy: the Spring Girls. Living on a New Orleans military base with their father on a tour in Iraq and their mother struggling to get by, the girls band together to take care of themselves and their family. This book is filled with drama and romance, as the girls navigate first loves and friendship, all within the tight quarters of their house where privacy is nonexistent. I haven't read Little Women in a long time to know whether or not this retelling was accurate, but I don't think that matters because this book was great as a stand alone. I loved all of the sisters from start to finish, with their sense of responsibility, sass, intellect, and a bit of mischief. ✨
Have you read Little Women? Who is your favorite sister?
I know for a fact that some of you are reading my book. I also know for a fact that knowing that is a little scary! ☺️ Thank you for your support and for those that have sent lovely messages of your initial thoughts on my book! Maybe later today I’ll do some Instastories to show how the names in my book are pronounced 😉
~#Februarybooklove day 19: books and candles💕🕯️📚
~the only candle I have, it’s not the prettiest but I guess it matches my bookshelf aesthetic?
~~thanks so much to the lovely @leafingthroughtime for tagging me to take part in the #rapidfirebooktag !❤️

~online or in-store: in-store to gasp at all of the beautiful books in person!😍
~heroes or villains: heroes❤️
~last book read: dear martin by nic stone👌
~weirdest thing used as a bookmark: idk, receipts I guess?🤷♀️
~used books: i don’t mind them as long as they are clean👍
~three favorite genres: (all ya) contemporary, dystopian, historical fiction💘
~borrow or buy: both!!❤️
~character or story: character, bc if I don’t like a character, then I don’t like the story😕
~long or short books: short🤣
~first three books that come to mind: wonder, since you’ve been gone, second chance summer📚
~book that made you cry: second chance summer😭
~our world or fictional: although our world sucks sometimes I ultimately prefer reading about it than fictional, fantastical worlds🤷♀️
~audiobooks: never tried them, and no plans to atm😂
Not a true book-pic, but this greeting card is decor on my mom’s bookshelf. I’m a sucker for sending beautiful cards in the mail, especially when they’re as pretty as this! Found at Booklink Booksellers in Northampton, MA.

It doesn’t look like much yet, but this little corner makes me really happy. We closed on our new home last week and finally moved (almost) all of our stuff over, including these lovely books. My sisters arranged all my unread books by color for me on the bottom shelves, and I can confidently say they look much better than when I tried it myself. 😂.
Future additions will include more IKEA Hemnes bookshelves and an oversized armchair. But for right now, i am incandescently happy with this room.
If you have any photos of your home library, tag me! I’m looking for all the inspiration I can find!
