From @iamhamamat - Happy Sunday #KingsandQueens :
What we planned for the next 6months sold out in the first 2months .
Thank you so much for your outpour of support over the last year. Hamamat African Beauty is deeply touched by the love and increased purchases of our products.
We are writing to update you on the status of Hamamat African Beauty. We are really excited about our next phase and want to share some progress with you. To ensure we provide you the freshest shea butter worldwide and to satisfy the overwhelming demand for orders, we have begun the process to ship all products directly from #Ghana !
You will be receiving your products directly from the motherland. It's been a long time coming, but the journey was worth it.
Hamamat African Beauty remains dedicated to fostering the growth of African businesses and Ghana’s economy by helping people on the land. We believe that Ghana is the gateway to Africa.
This has always been our mission and we are excited that because of your help, we are able to make this possible!
As you know, I’ve spent the last year showing you the beauty of my country and the products that carry the secrets of my African heritage. My ancestors knew the importance of caring for their body through natural ingredients they cultivated from our land.
While we’ve met some shipping challenges in our efforts to be pioneers, we are extremely committed to overcoming any hurdles to provide you the best products, especially now, when we live in a world where it’s so hard to distinguish what’s pure and natural from what has been processed and manipulated.
To show our gratitude for your patience and continued support, we will gift you with a travel-size jar in your package for delayed orders. You will be notified once your order has been shipped and given a tracking number.
Should you have any questions about our updates, please do not hesitate to email us at email@example.com. Please give us 24-72hours to respond to your messages.
XOXO, - HAMAMAT

I’m LOVING going #makeupfree 🤗🤗🤗 Been using #sheabutter and #rosewater spray on my face each day and my skin is clearing up! I used to wear makeup pretty much everyday but now am choosing not to! Being a role model for my daughter and others is important to me, and I realized #makeup is sending the wrong impression. For me, it’s like saying “my face isn’t good enough or pretty enough so I’m gonna cover it up”. Also, makeup is filled with toxic chemicals....no thank you! 🤨 #freedom#nofilter#nomakeup#naturalbeauty#vegan#plantbasedlife#allnatural Thanks for the tips @thecourageouscaffeinator 😘❤️
May I say I got two beautiful gifts on Friday so I must give thanks to two fierce strong women in my life who lifted my spirits this weekend. The ring is from saphhie @empressmermaid_ and the 2nd my mother and friend miss tammy k. Knowing my lifelong pursuit of a nice non greasy body mousturizer under 100$ and she's found me one...I adore it. It comes from a farm in Alabama and leaves yr clothes smelling fresh #silver#ring#sheabutter#1818farms#sheacreme#sweetsandalwood
When your grandmother has friends who have grandchildren in the business and she passes along a nice haul of blessings to you; you give half way in donations to a church who gives to homeless shelters and the rest for your daughter. #teamnatural

The Women’s Co-operative: Shea Butter. A Story of Empowerment : Continuing our story on a women’s shea butter co-operative in Northern Ghana, as part of our filming with these incredible women; Lush Times photographer Reece Pickering sat down with the women after they had been interviewed and took their portrait. Here are their stories of empowerment.
Susanna: “Coming together with the women, I have gained a lot of experience, they have built my capacity of how to make this shea butter processing. Through that, with the women’s group I have experienced so many great things in my life.” We’ll be telling our story of the collective over the coming days on @lushtimesen

Once upon a time, I dreamed of creating magic potion to rid the world of cracked, dry, tired feet. I thought about all the good things nature shares with us and I sourced ingredients from the bees and trees. I pulled out a stainless steel pot and stired these star ingredients until the became one. I poured these magical ingredients all by hand in easy-to-use containers. I traveled to festivals and markets telling the good people about the special potion. I sold one and then two. Some of you bought so many to share with friends and family until there was no more. My heart filled with pride as you told me how much you loved the Menthol Foot Balm. You shared your stories to help spread the word. Now, this secret potion is my best selling products in all of #lulanaturals . And that's the happiest ending I could have ever deamed. #lovelula#theend . --Order online or pick up yours at @garagedoorstudio in #avondale#atlanta
Skincare haul! 💶💷 These are some new skincare products that I bought a few weeks ago.
I bought a new physical sunscreen that is from the Korean brand Etude house, so far it's good, very light weight, no gray/white cast (I'm too flashy to be ashy😘) and protects you from UVA/UVB rays. If you are not using sunscreen I'm really really judging you😧👀 I repurchased my absolute favourite lip balms the Burt's bees lipbalm which is made from beeswax and other conditioning ingredients such as jojoba oil and vitamin e. I find using other lip balms make my lips dry, cracked and itchy😷 so tragic.
And lastly my new face cream the L'occitane 5% Shea butter cream, it's lightweight and really makes my skin hydrated and plumped. Plus the company actually gives back a percentage of their profits to women in Burkina Faso who produce the Shea butter for them.👍 Has anyone bought new skincare products?
Do you know that Shea butter is good for foot massage??
Its good for my skin.
Its good for my hair
And it's good massaging 💪

This was told to me by my old hair dresser. She actually washed my hair multiple times to ensure all the shea butter was out of my hair before blow drying and straightening it. To this day I make sure all the butters and heavy oils are washed out of my hair before I apply heat. I do however still use a heat protectant.
Heal your skin with Shea Butter✨
Shea Butter is a good source of vitamins A (hint: accutane is a derivative, or imitation, of vitamin A) and E, which strengthen your skin and help it repair damage. A 2009 study published in the "Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology" found that the caffeic acid in shea butter reduced the damaging effects of UV radiation. In addition, shea butter contains cinnamic acid: a 2010 study published in the "Journal of Oleo Science" found that it could repel both inflammation and tumors.
