Exploring #Singapore the last few days has been a blast 🌞It’s one of the most unique cities I’ve been to and I’m really happy we got to experience so much of it in a short space of time. Next stop: Bali 🌴✌🏻😎
I want all these bastardization of local flavours to stop. Let's start with @oldchangkeesingapore Nasi Lemak Curry Puff.
First. Why you gotta be green? How does a green curry puff remind one of nasi lemak. It doesn't. You know why it doesn't? BECAUSE NASI LEMAK HAS NO INHERENT COLOUR.
Second. How is this Nasi Lemak Curry Puff? Nasi lemak's main ingredient is the steamed coconut rice; fragrant and full of flavour. Unless you can stuff nasi untuk the curry puff, then you cannot call this nasi lemak curry puff. Nasi lemak without chicken, or egg, or ikan bilis is still Nasi Lemak (Coconut Rice). You can stuff a curry puff chock-full of Sambal, of anchovies, of egg. But a Nasi Lemak by any other name would never taste as delicious.
This was how Joel & Jessica did their first march-in; by dancing to the theme song of Lala Land! They practised darn hard for it and I was there during their rehearsal before the dinner, and they were definitely nervous 😂 They did so so well in the end! They are also currently having their beautiful honeymoon in New York! - Marklin #pixiesmarklin
