Some of the beautiful #chairyoga ladies from my exercise class in Souths Juniors club. This class has been running for around 50 years. Starting as physical culture and moving through the times with different styles and teachers. If you can see Lucy in the background, she’s been coming to this class since the the early 70s! Before I was even born!Amazing! We usually have around 70-80 people every week attending. It’s really great to see such a variety of culture, ages, personalities and fitness levels all together in the one place keeping fit and healthy! Proof that everybody and anybody can #getfitwhereyousit !
Yogi in Training.... gotta start them out young over here.
Truth be told we are most flexible when we are born and lose it over time because of lack of use.
I hear all the time about people not getting into yoga because they aren't flexible. .
Honestly neither am I but practice yoga to be more flexible so that I can relieve stress in my body and recover & prevent injury from exercise. It generally makes me a more happy person to be around. ☺☺☺
As we age it becomes even more important to stretch those muscles to manage those aches & pains.
It's like the chicken & the egg debate... do you wait until you are flexible to start practicing yoga OR do you practice yoga to become become flexible?
“Every week my mind is blown with the things my parents are accomplishing on their new journey. Very cool for a retired physician who always wanted to help her patients. This is what 78 looks like with 2 shoulder replacements and a knee replacement. Thanks for the great coaching and for capturing video of the epic moment @coachcrip (I have never once in my life seen my mom be able to do this ... until now - boom!). #supermomshanti @crossfit403 @crossfit

Home-based workouts for all ages! You don’t need a lot of space to move your body. And who says you need special equipment? Not me! I teach you how to incorporate snacks of movement into your daily life. So of course I film in my own home. Remember: move more and you will feel better.
One of the reasons I love teaching Essentrics is that it’s a workout for all ages. And I’ve taught all ages - from 3 to 93. This morning, I get to spend time with my amazing Friday morning crew and it’s a full house! But you can always join a Monday class. Class sizes are kept small, so you’ll never feel crowded out. 🙆🏽♀️👣💪🏽😀
Safety first! Our equipment and signage are developed to allow easy and safe functionality. We provide instructional decals on each piece of equipment for safe usage.

It’s only when we slow & soften the breath, that the mind is able to quieten & calm down. When you feel fear, stressed or anxious - slow, deep, conscious breathing works to soften mind & return you to the present moment so you can act/react peacefully, from a much calmer place.
