Look. At. This. Pizza. 🍕 This was one of the TASTIEST. MEALS. I have ever made what the heck 😩 Would you believe me if I told you that the crust was gluten-free? Yeast free? Vegan?? That it was made with only THREE INGREDIENTS!? I made it with sweet potato 🍠 garbanzo Bean flour, cornstarch 🌾 and some spices 😏 I did some magic 🧚🏼♀️ and this crust held up sooo nicely! It had a super delicious flavor, it was not mushy (in fact it had the perfect amount of pizza crunch) and it held all of my favorite toppings on it with ease 🤩 I topped the mini pizza with tomato sauce, veggies, chipotle-style seitan crumbles, spinach, basil, and a homemade cheese sauce that I made with hummus, nooch, garlic, water, and hot sauce 🌶🌹 When I took my first bite, it was so good that I literally got out of my chair and just stared at it in amazement 😂 The cheese sauce added such a nice creamy element and I really just have no words to describe how good this was, other than the fact that it was #macrofriendly , full of plant-protein, and insanely easy to make!! Pychota 😁 Kiełbacha wjechała na kolacyjkę 😍🌱💪💗 Seitan czeka w kolejce na obiad. Nie, nie brakuje mi mięsnych produktów, nawet nie pamiętam jak one smakują. Po prostu bardzo się jaram każdymi wegańskimi smakami i nowościami, a te naprawdę warto spróbować.
Make your own SEITAN!
Homemade Seitan Recipe 👇
About 3 cups of Vegetable Broth (set aside for cooking)
2 cups vital wheat gluten
1/2 cup chickpea flour
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
1 TBS poultry seasoning
1 TBS onion powder
1 TBS garlic powder
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1.5 cups WARM water
STEP 1️⃣ Mix all dry ingredients in one bowl.
STEP 2️⃣ Mix all wet ingredients in another bowl.
STEP 3️⃣ Pour the wet mixture into dry mixture and stir with a fork until decently mixed (don't over stir). Once mixed, kneed with your hands and shape into a loaf.
STEP 4️⃣ Wrap seitan loaf into a cheese cloth and tie each end into a knot.
STEP 5️⃣ Dip into the pot with your broth. Bring to a boil and then down to a light boil (more than a simmer but not a raging boil) and cook for an hour... no lid on pot. ⏱After an hour, poke the center of the loaf with your finger. If will be slightly firm to the touch when done. -
On s'est pris pour @sebastien_kardinal 😂😉 Nan pour de vrai cet hiver on s'est fait quelques fois du bourguignon de seitan et ça nous plait bien ! C'est pas trop notre genre de cuisine, c'est pas le truc qui nous rappelle l'enfance ou notre passé d'omnivores parce qu'on mangeait pas ça petits (chez moi on est plutôt cuisine méditerranéenne tsé). Mais c'est super hivernale et tout réconfortant 😍
En plus c'est plutôt rapide, enfin la cuisson est longue donc faut penser à aller préparer le repas assez tôt mais une fois que ça mijote tu peux bien faire c'que tu veux 😉 comme préparer le dessert par exemple hihi !
On t'a fait une story sur la préparation de notre seitan, mais on te conseille la vidéo d'Alice Esmeralda sur les plats d'hiver, ce sera nettement bien expliqué 😁
What a setup 👌🏻 tried to recreate the amazing @whatthepitta wraps, obviously not as good but still incredibly tasty 💚 I used the Cajun @loveseitanuk fried with onions and garlic, with hummus, homemade chips, Sriracha mayo and salad 🌯
Let’s talk fake meats! 🧐🗣 ___________________________ I have heard people ask this question many times before ‘Why do vegans eat meat substitutes?‘ - Personally, I believe eating has a lot to do with habits. When transitioning from an omnivore or vegetarian diet to a vegan one, people have to change eating habits that have been with them since their childhood. While some find it easy to replace the portion meat or dairy were taking up on their plate with legumes, vegetables, or other plant based, high portion foods, such as tempeh or tofu, others may struggle at first. And this is where fake meats come in. 👇
They provide a similar taste and visual experience without the cholesterol, inflammatory animal protein and antibiotics, which are found in most conventionally farmed animals.
Oh, and don’t forget the people who are vegan for the animals and environment, and not because they dislike the taste of meat! 🐮🐷🐥🦑🦐🦀🐠
The less processed a fake meat product is, the better in my opinion. I see processed fake meats with long ingredients lists as a treat. -

Leftover #seitan kleftico made into a healthy dirty kebab !! Marinaded with liquid smoke, Worcester sauce, garlic & onion powder and paprika and fried up in a little coconut oil. Throw in salad, coleslaw made with Creme fraiche, Tzatziki, some sriracha and it’s bloody lovely. Tarte poire amande.
Je découvrais le Seitan qui m'a bien plu, une sensation de pain perdu salé en bouche et comme j'aime Beaucoup le pain perdu, c'était parfait. Et une purée tout en douceur de céleri. La tarte fine et délicieuse mais avec un goût de trop peu à mon goût... Car très goûteuse mais pas assez généreuse #gourmette
J'ai beaucoup aimé la décoration !
