Inspiration for today's studio time (see last post). I'm not the only one who needs salt air. This screen grab from one of my stories highlights (doesn't it look like a painting?) is the last time Chance was on the sand. Too long for both of us. Tomorrow is bringing snow, but come the weekend we are supposed to welcome warm temps again. We will both be holding out hope for some marsh or beach time. Just two days into claiming more time outside in nature and I can already feel positive effects. It's one of the reasons I dedicated myself to transitioning from years as a graphic artist to fine art. So I could incorporate more time in nature into my work. Being attached to a mouse and keyboard for 23 years, looking at a computer screen all day was taking its toll. Well, with all the last year threw at me....mainly the loss of my dad, my priority of getting outside more took a backseat to simply keeping my head above water. I am determined to change that, one day at a time. Being out in nature fills all my senses and my creative well. Today it was the sights and sounds of the meadows where I breathed in the smell of hay and cold air with a hint of the snow on the way. Soon it will be the beach, with the salt air on my lips and in my hair.
