93% of children don’t eat enough vegetables, 60% don’t eat enough fruit. I’m no genius but I never quite understood why schools don’t make fruits and vegetables the mandatory snack for sharing. Allergy problems become practically obsolete, health improves, and habits are formed early. When it’s our turn I have always asked: what fruit and vegetable do you want to take? The boys and I made another batch of salted, nutella stuffed chocolate chip cookies 🍪 to help fill the dessert table at the elementary school's annual fundraising event. I'm not into joining the PTO or volunteering for lots of events, but I'll gladly bake one of my favorite desserts to support the cause.
We may or may not have eaten a few ourselves and paid the babysitter in cookies last night. C'mon.. these things are way too good not to snag a few. #HonModEats#HonModMakes

Radish Cake, the Yuk Kon（Meat Jerky) version 萝卜糕肉干版😂
So, my mum made #radishcake with yuk kon (meat jerky) and that impulsed me😂! We had quite a bit of yuk kon left from Chinese New Year so, into the radish cake they went! This flavourful Chinese #dimsum is often served as breakfast 🍜and for tea time ☕ too. And this popular choice of dim sum marks the last school day before the short school holiday. Have fun!

The almost-five-year-old is having a fire truck birthday party this weekend, but tomorrow is his class birthday snack, and he wanted to take flame cupcakes. These are this delicious fluffy, moist yellow cake, filled with chocolate chocolate chip mousse, topped with vanilla buttercream. They’re pretty great, even if they do look more like beautiful roses than flames. It’s after 1 am, I’m kind of over it. #prek#preschool#schoolsnack#cupcakes

Our snacks started after we made Ben's grandfathers traditional recipe as a wedding reception treat - everyone insisted on more biltong which is how Brooklyn Biltong was born.
We make three flavors of this traditional South African snack with grass-fed beef zero syrups/sugars. It's a healthy snack that gives back - we donate 10% of our profit in actual biltong to organizations in our community.
