More than ever, it's time for the collective human consciousness to realize the importance of connecting with nature.
There seems to be this cognitive dissonance between what we expect nature to provide for us versus how we are treating nature. We act as though we as humans are separate from nature; as though we are free to observe nature from the safe vantage point of our ivory tower, interacting with it and manipulating it only when it suits our needs. We build homes and technologies and tools to remove ourselves further and further from nature, while simultaneously irreversibly affecting the nature we seek to avoid. We want to do away with those parts of nature we deem unpleasant and then revel in those that we see as luxurious.
The fallacy in this is that we ARE nature. We are irrevocably and irreversibly part of nature, one with nature, living and breathing manifestations of nature. To distance ourselves from nature is to distance ourselves from ourselves. To ignore and damage nature in favour of what we see as our own benefit is to ignore and damage ourselves. Using nature only for our perceived short-term benefit will NEVER ultimately have a positive outcome for humans, because we ARE that nature.
When you realize this, you can only act in one logical fashion: to take care of and love nature, and to do everything in your power to preserve its health. In doing so, you will be caring for and loving yourself and your fellow humans. Only once we collectively awaken and accept that we are one with nature, will we be able to truly thrive on this tiny blue dot.
A little hope can make a big difference. Mulai dari diri sendiri untuk berbuat kebaikan, misalnya.
This is #dominoeffect .
No words are amazing enough to describe our fantastic and insightful material in the last 3 days.

What’s your favorite organization doing great things for Hawaii wildlife? This baby sea turtle was inspired by our trip to the Big Island last year. Today there were two big green sea turtles on the beach near our place. And two endangered monk seals! I was able to get great reference photos for a Kauai series when I get home. I already have an organization in mind to support with the series, but am also open to more suggestions! What’s your favorite organization doing great things for Hawaii wildlife?
🌱This #WeakVegan started the day with a 6km jog 🏃🏽♀️ 20 minute ride🚲 15 minute stair climb 😅 30 minutes of upper body weights 🏋🏽♀️5 x 2 minute rounds of boxing 🥊 and abs, finished off with some skipping (I’m determined to skip like Mayweather by the end of the year) and some booty 🍑 + back exercises to keep my back + knees pain free. Today I'm talking about #DIY#zerowaste#dishsoap . 💧
I posted about this topic not too long ago and saw you all seemed interested in how I make my own dish soap. So, I figured I'd write an official recipe for it on my blog. That way you can always go back to it whenever you need to (it'll be archived). Plus, I share exact measurements for each ingredient I use. 💧
I use a #masonjar dispenser to house my DIY dish #soap , but you can use anything. The recipe is ridiculously easy to make, saves my family a lot of money, and works! Since it's all #natural it doesn't get all sudsy and bubbly like conventional dish soap does, but that's ok. It still does the job! 💧
Traditional dish soap also pollutes waterways. Please try to switch to more natural alternatives. If for no reason, think of the fishies! We already pollute water enough with our #plasticwaste , we don't need to add to the problems...💧
Do you use DIY dish soap? Would you be willing to give it a try? 💧

Interesting to see in pics! Now I’m not vegan myself and don’t follow strict rules for anything in my diet however I was discussing with my sister last night the idea of ‘sustainable’ eating, eg choosing to eat kangaroo over beef in Australia because they’re considered a pest and need to be reduced, are wild and biodynamic, whereas beef just trashes the land and is unncecesary. In addition unless it’s been spear fished (which is more sustainable), trying to avoid eating fish because who knows how many extra marine animals died in order to catch this? Little things like picking the vegetarian option when eating out because it’s just as delicious, and in fact, eating vegan tacos last night at @boquitanz , the whole table agreed they were way more epic than normal tacos!!! So how can we tweak our diets so they are a little more sustainable? Can you check where the food came from before you buy it so it doesn’t travel from Europe to your plate? Can you get a little more local? Just try the veggie option occasionally? Little steps 😊 pic @awellfedworld
