It’s difficult to tell what statistics to trust and which not. Regardless of if the increase is 500% or 50% the number is alarmingly high. If an individual is in a violent domestic situation they should be aware of the peril of firearms being in the home. Hopefully this information can further assist in the decision to leave. *source https://ncadv.org/statistics

I attended the Indigenous Inclusion in the Hemp and Cannabis Industries Conference in the city today. It was an honour to be a part of the conversation during such exciting, formative times. There is lots of important work to be done right now, Cannabis can really help our First Nations
. “Corporate cannabis” has a lot to offer these communities, (jobs, etc) but it really just feels like they are wanting to swallow up as much land as possible, and take advantage of the “indigenous brand” for marketing. Instead, I would love to see cannabis empower our Indigenous people through 100% locally owned micro-cultivation farms, where they could have their own autonomy and not owe 49% to a multinational company
There were lots of great speakers at the event, from our first Nations Chiefs, Health Canada, gov’t of Sask, to doctors, patients, and entrepreneurs. Lots of really cool people to meet
Awesome event, but a long day to spend in a collared shirt and dress pants for this guy. It was nice to get home and burn one with the plants after .

🐸 Canada may not be home to the brightly coloured poison frogs of the South American rainforests, but I for one think the frogs that do call the Great White North home are just as beautiful in their own way. For example, the turquoise crescent moons on either side of this wood frogs eyes are amazing, and the strong red colour along its back is very striking. Found all across Canada and even far north, past the Arctic Circle, the wood frog can tolerate freezing solid, protecting their cells by creating their own "antifreeze". Like most frogs they do hibernate during the coldest months of winter, but as temperatures rise in late winter and early spring, the wood frog emerges. They use their ability to tolerate temperatures below freezing to grab breeding ponds long before any other species of frog wake from hibernation. If temperatures do drop below the frog’s level of tolerance, they become frogsicles. They stop breathing, their heart stops beating, and upwards of two-thirds of their body water freezes solid. However, with climates changing, the wood frog’s head start over the competition may be disappearing. 📷 EXIF 1/250sec f/10.0 ISO100 100mm April 9th 2015 13:48 @CanonCanada 5DmkII & 100mm Macro #SaveTheFrogs#Frog#Ribbit#Amphibian#ItsNotEasyBeingGreen#Saskatoon#YXE#Saskatchewan#ExploreSask#Spring#PhotoOfTheDay#Instadaily#Instagood#OurPlanetDaily#ShareCanGeo#Jaw_Dropping_Shots#EarthCapture#EarthOnLocation#NatureLover_GR#PhotoTag_It#KeepExploring#TravelPhotography#NoFilter
You do not have to prove your worth to anyone, loves. You already are everything simply as you are. There is no distant or upcoming place, future, or title that catapults your wholeness into something fuller than what you presently embody. You have it Now. Do not forget this. -Victoria Erickson
One of the problems with anxiety is it can stop you from recognizing all the other awesome things you do on a daily basis. It does this by causing you to hyper-focus on the troubling issue which of course is pretty unpleasant and memorable. Some times I get into the negative self-talk of “Come on your supposed to be an adult.” or “Why can you do this other stuff and not this, that’s pathetic”. Which of course is neither true or productive - and leads me into a Anxiety Marge like state. The trick is to focus instead on the good and accept there will be those “additional things” - and that we are more than capable of riding the anxiety wave and on to the next thing. Also the Simpsons makes me laugh.
