Had a great day yesterday with one of my best girls @elizabeth_carolineuk. Despite our businesses being only 14 miles apart, we decided to have a working lunch together. It’s always great to inspire and motivate each other and remember that there is room for everyone and never competition. Elizabeth and I became good friends through our industry and after knowing our businesses were so close and we had similar values. This could’ve prevented our friendship, but we never let it hold our friendship back. We trust each other implicitly and support each other in our business and personal lives to best we ever can. I truly value this friendship and there are many things I couldn’t have got through without Elizabeth by my side. I would always recommend you spend time with others in your industry as you never know where the friendship and support may lead. We’re all in the same boat and there’s room for us all in business. 🙏🏻

Meet the owner🌿
🙋🏼♀️I’m Kerri and I created Zanzi to bridge the gap between holistic/organic Hairdressing and high fashion results. I have been on my own personal journey eliminating toxic ingredients from my day to day living and am proud to offer a hair salon experience for everyone else who is concerned about the chemical overload. My aim is to show clients that they definitely don’t have to sacrifice results by choosing toxic/low chemical- free products, and that their hair will feel amazing (if not better) than when they walk in the salon door! I’m currently working (my butt off 😂) 7 days to accommodate my new clientele, so please contact me directly on this platform or at the salon if you would like to ask any questions as I have a wealth of experience to share 🤗I truly hope you enjoy Zanzi as much as I did creating it 💚
Retail should be an experience…because I believe that shopping is a therapy in itself! 😉
Aren’t you also more inclined to go back to a store where the store assistant was friendly, your purchase was packaged nicely and you even received some gifts or samples?
However, it happens so many times that spas and salons do not really think about treating merchandising as an experience.
So I encourage you to create a standard for merchandising.
What I’d do for packaging is this: -spritz a sheet of wrapping paper with perfume
-wrap the products and place them in a nice paper bag
-add some samples, a product catalogue and even a hand written thank you card
-close the paper bag with a sticker
You can order most of the things listed here from your product supplier. The point is to WOW your clients!

How’s your marketing going so far this year? Get yourself in front of your ideal audience with marketing, it is such a key component to a successful business and not many people quite grasp the concept of oversell underdeliver advertising… If you have a new team member and want to build up their clientele, or even if you want the salon to have a burst of new clients why not try out a refer-a-friend card system, where you avoid discounting, but you give value.
For example; a beauty salon might have a refer-a-friend system in play. Jay refer’s Marie, Marie gets $50 to spend on her first facial for being referred by Jay. Jay is then rewarded with $50 to spend on his next visit.
You get an opportunity to WOW a new client doing what you do best and Jay is rewarded for it, but in turn so are YOU!
