Overview of last run downtown Paris, from Gare du Nord to Arc de Triomphe and back, with a stop at Opéra.
Did from Arc de Triomphe a 'restart' from the Marathon of Paris last year at Marathonpace.
Ran it this time over Les Champs-Élysées a bit faster than in 2017... although this day it was rush hour with cars on the road.. 😉
Later that day, I came by Opéra again. .
This time during a stroll to the Eiffel Tower and back with the happy traveler.
Next run this coming week will be in Belgium.
🇺🇸 5k • R U N 🇺🇸 ⠀
Little 5k around Atlanta today. It’s the first time I’ve run in a week and I felt quite good. ⠀
I did manage to forget to pause my Garmin at road crossings though, and in my mild fear of being fined for jaywalking ($200!), I didn’t want to risk running across. Jaywalking obviously isn’t a thing in the UK and sometimes I forget that I can’t cross the road wherever I like. ⠀
Atlanta is cool. I ran past some interesting art and ran *on* some art, as you can see above. The architecture here is quite colonial and there’s some interesting churches - on pretty much every block in fact. Taking in the sights made today’s run a lot more enjoyable, plus it made me forget the 20+ degree heat and the ridiculous humidity...

Because running 13.1 miles on slippery muddy trails is what they do for fun on a Saturday morning... And they do it FAST! Congrats to our overall 2018 Winter Trail Frosty Half Marathon finishers! Dustyn Shrock (1st), Bill Brumbach (2nd), and Tobias Magers (3rd). Way to go guys!
I was Outside! Just wish I had more in me. .
It was 50 degrees and sunny so I just had to run outside right? Of course I did. But my beloved dirt roads were a mess from the melting ice and snow so we headed to the high school to run on some decent roads. The downside was my stomach has been giving me fits since last night so my planned 5 just wasn’t in the cards. Well 3.11 was better than nothing! 😁 Looking forward to more outside running as the weather improves. .
Be Better Today! Even Just A Little!!
Improve day to day. That’s the result I’m chasing!!
#takethefirststep even if it's a bit nuts!
How much talent can you fit in one frame?!? This group broke away early, and went on to finish Top 5 Overall at the GHS Half Marathon in Greenville, SC. Will Norris ultimately took the win with a finish time of 1:07:53 @ghshalf @rflynn5k10k @bmorley2010 #overallwinners#smokinfast#ghshalfmarathon
*Judgement free zone.* Think how different life would be if we could all live judgement-free. ☀️ Although I have a treadmill at my house, when the family is trying to sleep, I either run outside or head to the gym. My legs are feeling a little sore from pushing it at yesterday’s 5k, so I did a mile warm up and the strength training circuit this morning while wearing my @skins_usa compression tights. Did you know that SKINS compression technology increases muscle oxygenation, stabilises active muscles and reduces blood lactate build up, to enhance performance and speed up recovery time? Do you wear compression gear? 🤔 Happy #sundayrunday friends! 💕
Two goals for 2018 are sleep more and talk less. By talk less, only speak to add value or to be positive, to share love and to be supportive. .

Very proud of this lady today! Jenny has been running with me for 11 months now. She signed up for this half marathon before Christmas and has been training so hard for it! Today after some ups and down in training and injuries she absolutely smashed it and most importantly she enjoyed it!! Make sure you enjoy what you do!! Well done @jennydoyle168 #proud#gogirl#asicsfrontrunner
I can’t tell you the last time I had a “routine.”
I’m terrible at them.
Nothing in my life is regular.
I work a random schedule.
I run whenever the sunlight lets me.
And in 1 day I’m here, there, and everywhere.
I crave to live my life this way.
I love it.
And I don’t even know if yall actually read half the stuff I say...
But today I’m making a mental note for myself to come back and read one day.
So here goes:
You are making something magical happen.
No one ever said that you had to fit a mold.
Or that you had to be “somewhere” at 26.
This is YOUR life.
The life you fought for.
The one full of love,
The one full of days when you still pinch yourself that it’s yours,
The one where you are so thankful for your health,
That you’re here.
Saying “YES” to living.
To the future me:
I am so proud of who you are today.
Who you want to be tomorrow.
Whether your career is “hard to explain”,
Your next step is one people won’t believe,
Or whether you fail at something because you tried,
I am so proud. 💗🙌🏼
What gets you back in the gym day after day? No matter what is going on in life, work, exams, family obligations, etc. I (try) to make the time to get those endorphins rushing. I know by now how much better I feel after a good workout. Today I ran 4 miles at a 7:30/mi pace and 30 minutes of upper body & core strength training
