Are you in love with the idea of running your business? It may sound strange, but I believe that the best business owners are the ones who absolutely love their business and love running it. That love and passion will come through in everything you do, your products will feel it, your employees will feel it, your customers will feel it, and it will make your business not just good, but great. Happy Valentines Day, I hope that you find love and passion in your work as well as in your relationships today.
Ok Instagram entrepreneurs. Today I want to invite you to ask me all of your most burning questions, about business, music, or life. I’ll pick a few each day to answer, and a few to do video responses for. I’ve got over 50 years of business experience under my belt and a billion dollar company that I started from the ground up on my resume, and my goal is to share as much of my wisdom and experiences with today’s entrepreneurs and business owners as possible. So, if you’ve got a question, just ask me in the comments below.
I just want to take a minute here, on this Friday afternoon, to remind all of you aspiring entrepreneurs out there to take a minute- and relax. You work hard, you hustle, you grind, and you’re doing great things. Don’t forget to take some time to relax and take it all in. Take a few deep breaths. And then keep going. Happy Friday everyone!
I often have new entrepreneurs ask me what books I would recommend for self/development and startup business owners. I am a reader, so there are A LOT of books that I would recommend, but for the sake of simplicity, I’ll mention “In Search it Excellence.” Here is why:
From the CEO of another Seattle-based company comes this inspiring advice. Only you have the ultimate say in the story that you end up with, and your choices are the pen with which you write the words. Make it a great one! Thanks @jeffbezos for the inspiring words, and thanks @entrepreneur for sharing them.
In today’s world, people think that technology has replaced the old strategies organisations were following!

If you are one of them, then you have totally got it wrong!
Cause technology is a gateway to clients information but the actual conversion still happens through these old channels.
You encounter people every day- whether it’s a coworker, a family member, or your Uber driver. Every single person has something that they know that you don’t. The only way for you to learn from them is to engage with them. Learn from everyone you encounter, and you will run your business and your life better.
This is advice from an incredibly successful businessman, @_warrenbuffett, that I couldnt agree with more. If you ever want your business to outlive you, then it needs to be bigger than just you. Whether you find a way to automate or you hire more people, growing your business beyond yourself is the first step towards making money in your sleep and leaving a legacy that outlasts you.
Absolutely right @gavin_a9. One person can make a difference, but they have to have confidence in their own ability and skills to do so. This is often especially difficult for young people, which is why I applaud Gavin for learning this lesson early in life. I believe in the power that you as an individual can have, and I hope that you do too. @entrepreneur thanks for the great quote.
Do you have a dream? Well, it’s time to turn your dreams into goals. If you are running a business, learning how to set and accomplish your goals is one of the essential ingredients to success. Is 2018 the year that you start making real steps towards accomplishing your business goals?
I love the determination to learn from your struggles and improve by @businessmindset101. If 2017 was a challenging year for you, resolve now not to make the same mistakes, but to use your failures as an opportunity to learn and grow as you head into 2018.
Do you have a dream of starting your own business? Or maybe a goal for your existing business? The timing will never be right, until you decide that it is. Make 2018 your year to accomplish your goals and dreams.
If you want to have a great business, then mediocrity is not an option in any aspect of it. Remember, great businesses do everything well, including jingleing ALL the way. Merry Christmas Eve to everyone!
