I have done a lot of #physically#hard things in my #life and pretty often. Today was a new mile marker for me! At @otfstgeorge we had a partner #challenge , my #partner @celawson3 killed it today! We had to get to a certain number on the #rower and we were so close to getting there. I was the last one to row. I pushed it way too hard and actually dry heaved in my mouth twice but i wasn’t about to stop, we were so close! I hit the number on the rower with about 5 seconds left to go and stopped. AND then ran to the trash can and threw up!!🤮 Oh my... so #embarrassing ! Luckily I think only a few people saw me. I was pretty quiet. That has never happened to me before! I never understood why some people say they puked during a workout or practice. Now I know!! Got a good one in today. 10 min row, maximus warm up, then a modified "Five fifty five". 10 x 205lbs bench, 60lb KB goblet squats, pull-ups, push-ups, and 24" box jumps. Then 9 x each, 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1. 10 min cooldown row. #maximusbody#everydamnday
Just started this new class called “fundamentals of wellness” and it has easily become one of my favorite classes. I was studying today and this section about physiological health really stuck out to me. It was a list of elements displayed by physiologically healthy people and I really liked this one about self compassion. It says that physiologically healthy people are “kind and understanding of their own imperfections and weaknesses, they acknowledge their ‘humanness.’ They are mindful of the problems in life and work to be the best that they can be, given their limitations and things they can’t control. They are not self absorbed, narcissistic, or overly critical of themselves.” I really want to stress this because there’s only one thing stopping YOU from YOUR goals and that’s YOU. #cliche
