All sorts of randomness!
First video: I tried out 1 foot toe stop on the half pipe, feeling pretty good about jumping left, was able to keep going after backward drop in, jumped on an angled thing I haven't been on before and finally feeling like I'm starting to bend my knees when getting air!
Second: I've always know there was something wonky about my feet when it comes to dropping in and stalling. When I was watching these clips I figured out what it is. I typically lead (and stall) with my left foot, but when I drop in I lead with my right (????). Which is why I keep putting my toe stop down (grrr). So now I have to figure out if I need to drop in with with left foot, or get comfortable with right foot stalls. Lordie.... 78/365
This Wednesday we will all be at Cheapskate at Wheels in Durham NC. 3 dollars and you gain entry and rental skates. Come hold my hand while I make sure you don’t fall, check out what derby is all about, and make new friends. #rollerderby#rollerskating#bullcityrollerderby
A little bit of inspiration as we made our way in to the sports hall to do some rollerskating at the weekend. So proud of my wee guy for going in a non-skater and coming out like he'd been doing it for ages. Proud of the man friend for cruising round the rink like he owned it - last time we went skating he was in a wheelchair! Proud of myself for intentionally making a point of going to do something I used to LOVE. Fun time all round ❤ #inspo#nevergiveup#rollerskating#progress#fun#determination#mindovermatter#practicemakesperfect#disco
