Rivers, streams, lakes, and creeks meander across Tennessee, carving out the landscape as they have for millennia. I worked with a UK-based Geographer & GIS Analyst, Robert Szucs, to create this painting of Tennessee's vast interlocking networks of waterways. Robert was able to generate a beautiful rainbow map, with the colors representing sub-basins of the Ohio river basin, in which Tennessee is located geographically. Prints and digital files of this map and others are available for purchase through Robert's Etsy shop: GrasshopperGeography. "No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man." -Heraclitus
As I continue to sort last year’s mail, I was delighted to page through the most recent Grand Canyon River Guides Boatman’s Quarterly Review. Hey look Mom & Dad... I’m featured in the guide profile! GCRG is an awesome organization & such an important asset to the river community. I still remember the day I found out you could get paid to guide whitewater 13 years ago...
Sending endless gratitude to the mentors whom recognized my passion to learn, taught me everything they knew & shaped my path in life. Mentorship is vital, no matter where your path leads... I would not be where I am today without mentorship & I’m forever grateful to all my teachers on & off the river. 🌊🌊🌊 #grandcanyonriverguides
