Right where we need to be this lazy Sunday morning... .
Work will always need to get caught up, household chores will always need to be done, kiddos/furbabes will always need extra tending to or picking up after, taxes need to be finished, mid month bills need paying, workouts still need to get knocked out and meal prep etc but we did at least get the online grocery shopping done and scheduled for 3:00pm pick-up. 👌🏼😉 But right now, we sit & do NOTHING! Heck, a nap might even be on the agenda next. 🤷🏻♀️😴☁️ That kind of morning and I love every second. 💕 Doing nothing sometimes is just as important if not MORE than when you’re doing ALL the things. I definitely needed it this week. 🙏🏼🤗
Be present. Slow down. Breathe. Be okay with not getting it all done. Be okay with not being perfect. But also, be okay with making YOU and your NEEDS a priority. It’s not selfish. It’s NECESSARY. Your health. Your happiness. Your confidence. Your peace of mind. Your success. Taking care of you first is necessary to be the best version of YOU... so that you give others you love the BEST of you too; not just “the rest” of you. Ya know? 💕

Holy effff I love weekends! This one was very busy so today I’m taking some alone time to R&R. Recover and regroup 🤓 and I’m gonna own it!
I’m so grateful for the wonderful people in my life. My friends who truly get me, my partner in crime, my MOM. But sometimes being alone is where the magic happens. Where I get to work on me, so I can be there for others.

A little get away with the mister (and friends) was just what I was needing. .
As busy moms, it’s so easy to not tend to the important “self-care” time we need, even if your workout program requires some. 🙈
55 days in to #80dayobsession and in the last couple of weeks, I’ve had huge knots in my neck & shoulders. I’m also sore in places I didn’t even know I had muscles. 😳
I haven’t taken my rest days seriously enough and used them for rolling, recovery & self care as I should. My body is paying for it. .
We still have a couple more days but in the first, we landed & got our workout in, had a great lunch and an AMAZING massage, followed by strolling, shopping and enjoying each other, and dinner with friends. .
Spending the time to connect with hubby without a little person between us or a jealous dog jumping on us every time we hug is important too. 😂 (instead, here, I was trying to take a date night outfit selfie and got a nice “hey, perky butt alert pinch and selfie crash...uninterrupted mushy moment 😍) see pics lol
Spending one on one and having a “date weekend” really helps to sync up, catch up on conversations that always get interrupted and start new ones sharing our dreams, goals, concerns. .
We tend to those littles (and big kids) plenty on the day to day. And we miss and talk about them the whole time we’re gone. But, we must take the the time to nurture our relationships...it makes for a healthier friendship, marriage and parenting partnership with that one person we love the most. ❤️
Take some time today to acknowledge your body, mind and relationships. A good stretch and an evening walk alone is sometimes just enough to level things out before the new week starts again. .

It’s true! I recently finished a meditation course by @zivameditation and in just 3 short weeks I can’t imagine my life without it. I’m stoked!
As a health nut I’ve always known that meditation was good for you, but didn’t really know HOW to meditate, so I would find myself taking a few deep breaths, getting bombarded with thoughts, thinking what’s the point, I’ve got better things to do!! I’ve learned so much from this course and finally feel like I know what I’m doing and have the tools to make it a daily practice and also reap all the health benefits. So, what are the benefits of meditating? There’s tons!
(There are many different forms of meditation. But here are the health benefits of the form I learned and highly recommend to anyone/everyone!)
1. Meditation can improve sleep. Big time.
2. Meditation can boost the immune system.
3. Meditation makes you more productive. It’s amazing what happens when our brains slow down a little...
4. Meditation boosts energy and is 2-5x more restful than sleep. Amazing!
5. Meditation strengthens the right brain, making us more present and creative. Yes, please.
6. Meditation can be very anti inflammatory.
7. Meditation helps decrease the chance of developing stress related illnesses— which is more than 90% of them.
8. Meditation calms the nervous system and takes us out of “fight or flight” mode.
9. Meditation can lead to weight loss as stress and high cortisol causes significant weight gain.
10. Meditation will definitely reduce your risk of GIVING A SH#*! And honestly, meditation just makes you happier!
The truth is that we’re totally bombarded with stress and stimulation and overtime this takes a HUGE toll on our health. Nothing destroys health faster than stress! Nothing. Meditating is like a vacation for the brain — and let me tell you, it’s very much needed!
