Local Guidebook: “I know a photo from the top along with some quote about living your dreams will get you thousands of likes on Instagram, but unless you’re planning on visiting this peak on a day full of rainbows and flying unicorns, please think of whether you need to hike this mountain and not an alternative, such as: Festvågtind, Mannen, Stornappstind, or any of the countless other fantastic views across Lofoten. You will still hike this mountain anyhow, so just be aware of your surroundings and pay attention to those hiking above and below you. And if you cause any rock fall, yell: ‘ROCK!!!’ as loud as you can to warn others below you.”
Me: “live your dreams guys” 😬 #tbt
@abirky and I hiked Reinebringen at midnight during the midnight sun and got to watch the sun set and then rise again a half hour later. we had the entire mountain to ourselves in one of the most remote places on earth, talk about epic. Can’t wait for the hiking trip we are currently planning through South America 🙌🏻
This village is from an another world, called Reine. Most famous in Lofoten Islands I guess, cuz it is amazing. When you look at the photos, it doesn't seem real. Have you ever think before you take a photo that where should I locate myself to not create inconvenience to the view? It's the time which you will bend the knee. #north#northern#norway 🇳🇴 #norge#nordland#lofoten#islands#reine#Reinebringen#magical#village#amazing#magical#views#Nordic#fisherman
Clouds are gently rolling over the tops of Reinebringen, Navaren, Veinestinden and Tennestinden. This massif of mountains is behind the fishing village of Reine in Lofoten.
The Reinebringen mountain is a famous viewpoint location to Reine. In the age of social media, especially Instagram, the very mountain has faced a massive increase in popularity. So big that the previously pretty peaceful mountain has now frequent safety problems with the path up due to erosion by shoes.
This has ended up to the mountain being occasionally "closed" so the workers could fix the path. Locals have therefore recommended other mountains around instead, as many of them have views as beautiful as you would see from Reinebringen.
