I'm not 100% sure where to start here. this is a sad post. This doll was made out of love and a burst of inspiration I hadnt had for over a year. He turned out just as I wanted..and then his beak fell off..I fixed it. Then his ear fell off. I fixed that too. Then my dog somehow got him down from the high shelf above my work desk and ripped this doll to shreads. I still have the body but the head was completely torn off. and his chest feathers were plucked out. I'M still reeling from the devistation that came from this and all I have are three horrendous and blurry photos that were meant as preveiw photos while I did the official shoot. I didnt even want to post these. I wanted to forget about this entire situation but I didnt want all my work to go to waste. So here they are. Along with my brand new logo/watermark!
This creature is known as a Quisin. I may do a journal about them.
Created using polymer clay, faux fur, foam and fake feathers. Painted with soft pastels and acrylics. My dolls are created originally and without patterns, casts or molds. Each is created one of a kind and none will be duplicated or copied. Each doll is handmade with love(and stress!) and brought to life with their own personality and a soul of their own.
