Needing another adventure to Bass Lake. But this time I won’t mess it up by having Coors Light for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a side of pills for dessert. Another family trip I made sooooo “enjoyable”. I am so grateful for where I am now....present and able to be in the moment. #family#love#basslake#clean#sober#paddleboards#redo
What’s a hobby of yours?? A hobby of mine is to redo furniture. 🤷♀️ There’s something so therapeutic to me about it. Seeing what others think of as junk come back to life and shine... ugh I love it. ❤️. I’m looking forward to more beautiful days like today that I can get outside and fire up my sander again!! 😁👏🏻
I’ve got a couple projects waiting for me already 👍🏻 This is Faith’s bureau/changing table that I did, what do you think?? #hobby#redo#whatsyours#sofun#loveit ❤
No filter... I seen this reveal on CBS. Then on FB again on IG and now on the Travel channel. .
This is why I say I wasn't impressed and now I'm saying... Yup, totally inspired to create my Nefertiti inspired Art Dolls. I wanted to show her in my image in a artistic vibe.
So grab a piece of Her-Story! Support a Living Artist. Repost! Purchase! Show love by doing your own research! I'm so done with the politics.
take a close look here af these pictures. everyone always says wow 6 kids, a home business, u make it look so easy... as seen on the surface lol it may appear like I have everything together... behind the scenes is another story. here is a behind the scenes photo frkm this afternoo. Usually I wouldn't show lol but this is my reality. my son got in the kitchen while I was switching over the laundry! He managed to pretty much take a bite out of each cookie from this order. now I have to restart the whole thing. That's 2 days of work down the drain 😓 sigh....
The finished Dog tags - The illustrations in the background were done for a series for visiting cards and gift cards. The seated dog is the Poonchh Logo and that very polka dotted dog is an illustration my little son had done to mark his contribution to the cause! .
I give you ‘Dog’ Tags. They were born of work that I do with recycled materials. They are absolutely gorgeous and rustic. Even if I say so myself. Made with ONLY recycled or up-cycled fabric. ( The base for the current lot is old bleached out curtains!!) Stitched and stenciled by hand in the studio. Use them to hang on to the side of your ruck sack or laptop bag or hook it onto your key-ring, actually anywhere. The best way to show you love dogs and that you care. And the good part is that you know it is hand made with love, has a very low carbon footprint and ALL the money goes to the dogs.
I launched 'The Poonchh Collection' in Feb 2012 to raise awareness and funds for stray and abandoned dogs. Incidentally, 50% of the profits from the sale of the merchandise from the collection is pledged in perpetuity to animal welfare. .
I also take commissions to paint dog portraits. When I get a commission I keep the money as artist's fees. But when I choose to paint a dog (with permission) - a pet or street dog then the money from the sale goes to the dogs as part of The Poonchh Collection. I keep one rupee per portrait. .

I got to draw this super sweet man in 2015. Since he’s coming over to pose again tonight I thought it’d be fun to take an original pen sketch and do it over digitally. I was goin to do my favorite, but realized I loved them all, so I chose this one. Here’s hoping tonight’s drawings are just as good as last time!

・・・ "Some people think they can find satisfaction in good food, fine clothes, lively music, and sexual pleasure. However, once they have all these things, they're still not satisfied. They come to realize that happiness is not simply having their material needs met. Thus, society has set up a system of rewards that go beyond material goods. These include titles, social recognition, status, and political power, all wrapped up in a package called self-fulfillment. Attracted by these prizes and goaded on by social pressure, people spend their short lives tiring body and mind to chase after these goals. Perhaps this gives them the feeling that they have achieved something in their lives, but in reality they have sacrificed a lot in life. They can no longer see, hear, act, feel, or think from their hearts. Everything they do is dictated by whether it can get them social gains. In the end, they've spent their lives following other people's demands and never lived a life of their own. How is this any different from the life of a prisoner or a slave?” -Liezi
