On today's episode of "Arants Go with the Flow", Just one hour before their arrival, lovely dinner plans with some friends from church we're thwarted when the flu took one of our own @stevenarant The chicken had been marinating all day, dessert was in the freezer, and I was just seconds away from putting it all together when all of the sudden - fever, chills, and the infamous, yet very uncharacteristic, "I'm not hungry". Needless to say, we called our friends and apologetically cancelled the plans. So what's a wife to do?
You got it.
Scratch the menu. Make soup. No bread? No problem. Make pita. No rolling pin? No problem. Olive can.
Wipe down the counters and diffuse thieves oil. Now I'm sitting here enjoying the ready made raw cheesecake because I feel like a champ. That's right flu, you may have one of us.. but I'm going to put up a fight. You're going down before I do!
Then the sunday brunch is in full swing! It's smoothies, avocado, French potatosalad, oven-roasted sweet potatoes, kale, bread, hummus and more. Everything is vegan, organic and free from gluten and refined sugar. Come and finish the week with us on the bridge! 💚
Happy birthday to my love! Vandaag blaast manlief 49 kaarsjes uit en dat is natuurlijk al reden genoeg om de keuken in te duiken voor een verjaardagstaart. Dit jaar staan er heerlijke bounty cheesecake bites op hem te wachten. Een gouden greep, aangezien hij ook dol is op pure bounty’s. Toegeven, de verschillende lagen maken is even wat werk, maar dan heb je ook wat. De vegan cheesecake sneed ik vervolgens in bites. Handig, want zo hoef je niet elke keer je taart te ontdooien voordat je hem aansnijdt. Eventuele leftovers bewaar je dan ook in de vriezer. Deze bounty cheesecake is naast vegan trouwens ook glutenvrij, zuivelvrij en raw. Maar hij is vooral erg lekker. Enjoy!

Whipped this up today with left over things in the pantry - add or subtract whatever ingredients you like!! 😛🤤 The ingredients I’ve provided is a rough estimate as I didn’t measure anything, just put it altogether for a healthier alternative dessert! It’s gluten free, wheat free, vegan and has no refined sugar in it🙌🏾
🌵Bottom Layer: mix together and press into baking tray 1 cup almond meal, 1/2 cup walnuts, around 60ml coconut oil, juice of lemon - (add more/less coconut oil to get a consistency that will stick together but not too wet!).
🌵Middle Layer: blend 1 cup soaked cashews, 1 cup coconut milk, juice of 1 or 2 lemons (what you like), 4 tablespoons of agave, 1/2 cup soaked pitted dates and pour on top of bottom layer and place in freezer for 2 hours or until hardened.
🌵 Melt dark chocolate over stove (not in microwave) and add to the top of your cheesecake!
🌵Enjoy with friends, family or just yourself🙂
Weekend plans🤤 making more raw STRAWBERRY MACADAMIA CHEESECAKE bites!!! I promise you don’t even notice they’re dairy free it’s THAT good.🙊 To make blend:
1 1/2C raw cashews (soaked in hot water for 30 mins & drained)
1/2C macadamia nuts
5Tbs lemon juice
1/3C melted coconut butter
1C chopped strawberries
1/3C coconut milk
2Tsp vanilla extract
1Tsp lemon zest
1Tbs maca root powder
Mix it all up in a food processor and add to ice cube trays. Drizzle them in melted @eatingevolved chocolate and sprinkled with pink sea salt👌🏼 freeze for 2 hrs! Thaw them out for at least 30 mins before enjoying👅 hope you love them bbs!!🤗💕 #nourishedbykale
Back when I first discovered kombucha I was working as the kitchen manager of a raw vegan restaurant in Toronto. I pumped out stuff like this all day long. I've been feeling nostalgic for raw desserts lately. Tbh I like this stuff way better than baked desserts.
