The City of London Fringe Necklace was a gift from none other than the City of London, to The Queen when she was married in 1947. It is in Russian Fringe Style. Many royal ladies, including The Queen herself, own fringe style pieces that can be converted into a tiara, but this necklace is threaded on silk and cannot be converted. The piece has 56 all diamond bars and has been worn regularly since it was received.
"I have already joined myself in marriage to a husband, namely the kingdom of England," said Queen Elizabeth I to the Parliament once during her reign in 1558-1603 which is coined as England's Golden Age. She was crowned at the age 25. #bytnty
