The whole workout all I was thinking about was the question “what motivates you?” Because I’ve been seeing that question a lot lately.
I realized it’s simple for me - I’m motivated by the progress I’ve made this far, I’m proud of that. But I’m also not where I want to be in many aspects so that KEEPS me wanting more & knowing I can do more/be more. I’m not where I want to be but if I put in work day in and day out, one day I will be. There have many set backs & struggles and there will be many more but remembering where I started and how far I still have to go, pushes me to keep going every single day.

✊🏻Grip strength is a discipline you cannot rush. Just like a certain physique or craft. You have to earn it and deserve it. I think this is why I have a bit of obsession with it. What I mean by that is it’s something you have to be patient with , determined, smart & consistently refining. It’s something that evidently shows as proof that you’ve been putting in the work & study. Like hand-standing or like growing a plant. You have to plant a seed, water it, properly put it in the sun, & not over expose it. Nurturing it as it grows.
💡Something I learned & I strive to teach people on a constant is tendons take way longer than muscles to strengthen. If you rationalize this , you’ll find that though you have the muscles & mindset, that does not mean you have the tendon strength or technique. You cannot rush the process & I believe you must gauge proper activation, execution, technique & form to avoid dysfunction , imbalances, or worse injury. This is a subject I always find myself striving to improve

The #DumbbellDeadlift Row made an appearance in today’s #F45Panthers class! However, it is often preformed incorrectly... But we are here to help improve your form.
1️⃣ Start with your feet shoulder width apart while holding the dumbbells in front of you.
2️⃣ push hips backwards as you bend forward making sure to keep your lower back flat and your shoulders retracted.
3️⃣At the bottom of the deadlift pull the dumbbells up to the side of your chest.

One fun fact about me - I’m obsessed w dogs... on a serious level. There’s a limit of 2 dogs where I live which is probably a good thing or I’d have like 500. Crazy dog lady. I just can’t help but want to save all of them from kill shelters, bad homes, or strays. Dogs are so loving, so smart and each have their own personality that makes them so special.
Mine are hilarious - that’s why I love em so much. They make my day, everyday.
