Want to strip away body fat as quickly as possible?
Then you have to push your heart, lungs and muscles *hard* to elicit the desired fat-burning response.
Cardio is great for many things, but to make it work for fat loss it needs to be short and intense - that’s what it takes to get your heart pumping and your muscles burning to work up a sweat, increase oxygen consumption, and so turn your body into a calorie-burning machine.
I finish most weights workouts with a high-intensity cardio ‘finisher’ to improve my cardiovascular health and fitness, provide the stimulus for my body to burn more calories, and because it makes me feel good (not during - it’s horrendous - but always afterwards, thanks to the endolphins).
Prowler drop sets are fantastic for getting your heart rate high and increasing oxygen consumption in a very short space of time. The key is to keep the weight relatively light, and to drop down in small increments but keep your pace and intensity as high as possible.
