Raw Protein Lamingtons 🤩
Preparation time: 15 minutes
2 cups finely shredded unsweetened coconut plus extra for decoration
2 scoops OxyWhey Vanilla Ice Cream Lean protein
½ cup coconut milk
For chocolate icing:
3 oz dark unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 tsp coconut oil
1. Place the shredded coconut, OxyWhey Vanilla Ice Cream Lean protein and coconut milk in a food processor and process until combined.
2. Spoon the mixture into an 8×4 inch baking pan lined with parchment paper and press evenly with the back of the spoon. Freeze for 30 minutes.
3. To make the chocolate icing, melt together the chocolate and coconut oil.
4. Remove the lamingtons from the freezer and cut into 8 squares.
5. Dip one lamington into the chocolate icing and sprinkle with extra shredded coconut.
6. Repeat with the remaining lamingtons.
7. Freeze for another 30 minutes and serve or place in an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.

So I'll give you an example from my own brain! I am a person that is really in touch with me feelings--not so much my thoughts. So examining my feelings helps me identify the thoughts that are setting off a chain reaction. We want to believe we see reality--that we see the truth. Our "reality" is a story we tell ourselves, we can ALWAYS believe whatever we want to believe.
C = I'm a mom with a job
T = I can't do both things well
F = inadequate, feel guilty
A = Don't show you as happy as fun as I could
R = I don't do both well

✈️Travel season is rapidly approaching and while getting through TSA to your flight is intense enough, so is the idea of a day of travel when you know you're just going to be hungry 🤤and who knows when you'll eat again⏰.
🤑Plus, airport food prices are enough to make me wonder if they think they're the destination🙄- so packing yourself some snacks ahead of time isn't a bad idea💡.
👜Here's what you can get through TSA with. (List compiled by the consumerist)
🍊Whole, natural foods (fruits and vegetables) or in a container and wrapped up (like don't let that cheeseburger roam free in that purse and all those condiment packets you'll have to get AFTER)
🙅🏻♀️🙅🏼♀️NO alcohol, creamy dips and spreads, gravy, jam, jellies, salad dressings, salsa, sauces, oil and vinegar, soup, yogurt.
💁🏼♀️💁🏻♀️YES cakes, pies, sandwiches, bananas, apples, oranges, sliced fruit & firm cheese in container, meat, candy, gum, granola bars, pretzels, brownies, chips, cookies, pastries, and that cheeseburger wrapped up.
🗑️Needless to say they've got funky priorities at TSA- if you have the app you can look up specific foods and food types.
💦I like to bring a huge empty water bottle to fill after we get through security🚰- can never seem to have enough on a travel day. Bars, beef jerky, hard boiled eggs, and edamame can also make it through (for now 🤗)
➡️Also, use @butteryourmacros_restaurants to help you inside the terminal should you want it, we're notorious for buying double food to have during and after the flight. 🍳Grab an egg white delight from McDonald's or those Starbucks Sous Vide egg bites for a nice protein punch.

Heute gabs wieder mal Arbeit in Proteinjunkie’s Experimentierküche: Schoko-Kaffee-Zupfbrot lowcarb und highprotein! Gestern war im @cooperation_magazine ein Rezept von @fooby.ch von einem dunklen Zupfbrot, das sooo lecker aussah... und wie bei mir so üblich, genügte das schon, um meinen Back-Ehrgeiz zu wecken, diese Kreation auch in Proteinjunkie’s Style zu backen! Weil dieses Schätzchen soooo wunderbar schokoladig und zudem noch sehr gesund ist, passt es doch perfekt an die #fooxyschokistreiche Challenge von @mrfoodfoox und @got7nutrition ! Ich bin sicher, dass der neue Protein-Spread, den es dort abzustauben gibt, sich zwischen den einzelnen Zupfbrot-Schichten auch sehr gut machen würde!
Wie man sieht hat mein Experiment super geklappt: Trockenhefe in lauwarmem Wasser und wenig Zucker auflösen und gären lassen. In der Zwischenzeit Schoko-Whey von @sponser.sportfood , unflavored Whey von @chiefslife , Kakaopulver von @rapunzel_naturkost , Flohsamen-Mehl von @Coop, wenig Xanthan, Salz, @mysteviasweet -Süsse mischen und das Hefewasser beigeben. Dann Frischkäse, Flavor Drops Schokolade von @vegnshake und soviel lauwarmes Wasser dazu mischen, bis der Teig nur noch leicht klebrig und schön elastisch ist. Nun an der Wärme aufgehen lassen und anschliessend zu einem Rechteck ausrollen, quer und längs in Streifen schneiden, so dass kleine Rechtecke entstehen. Diese in die Form stellen, mit wenig ausgekühltem Kaffee oder Espresso übergiessen und in den vorgewärmten Ofen schieben. Nach ein paar Minuten nochmals etwas Kaffee nachgiessen und dann fertig backen. Mmmmmh, herrlich dieser süss-herbe Schoko-Kaffee-Geschmack!!! Genau das Richtige (und wohlverdient!) nach einem intensiven Intervall-Training auf dem Laufband...

👉For a new macro counter hitting your protein number is often the hardest part!! It’s pretty eye opening to realize how much protein your body needs! But even if you don’t ❤️ protein yet--you WILL! Your body needs it for almost everything it does, you burn the most calories digesting it & it helps you feel full and satisfied!
😋If you’re hungry--go for protein. When you’re sitting to eat: eat your protein first!
⬆️Have a high protein source at every meal, aim for at least 20-30 grams at each sitting!
✌️For most people you’ll be eating double the protein you’re used to--so think of it that way! Making or ordering a sandwich/taco/etc...double the protein. Making a recipe? Double the protein! Wherever you can double up!
🤤Craving something sweet? Answer it with a protein shake or bar! Notoriously sweet, those things ought to kick (or at least dent) your munchiness!

So, real talk. I hate Halo Top. I think the texture and heavy sugar-alcohol aftertaste is disgusting. Plus its sugar alcohol is erythritol which kills my stomach. Also I want real ice cream damnit lol.
Had a bogo for @proyotreats and bought two pints. Was really skeptical, but since it uses xylitol instead I decided to take the risk. Honestly? Probably my new favorite "crap I'm low on protein" treat next to @thelionschoice cookie dough. For the most part it tastes like legit ice cream and has a more ice cream like texture (reminds me of edys light ice cream). Also doesn't have a weird aftertaste... to me it was just coconut, which was super strong and pleasant! Only complaint was there's no mixins (hence the cool whip on top lol). Only 420cals for the pint and 35g of protein, which is honestly amazing.
9/10 on the protein scale- will be a repeat buyer! Low key obsessed. Would be a 10 if it had mixins. Back again with another crowd pleaser by the ALWAYS amazing @carlsbadcravings. The flavor profile in this soup is incredible & forgiving--we’re calling it Stone Soup because you could probably add just about anything to it and it would be good! We added in a bunch of leftover smoked chicken--it would be good with italian sausage, peas..pretty much whatever you got!
One Pot Creamy White Bean and Ham, Tortellini Soup (a.k.a. STONE SOUP)
Macros for whopping 400g = F8 C45 P29
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 large onion, chopped
2 carrots, thinly sliced
2 stalks celery, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup flour
6 cups low sodium chicken broth, divided
2 tablespoons cornstarch
16 oz of cooked & cubed ham
1 15 oz. can cannellini beans, rinsed & drained
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
1/2 tsp EACH dried oregano, dried thyme, ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
4 cups (1 pound) uncooked refrigerated cheese tortellini
1 1/2 cups fat free half & half *
290 grams of smoked chicken
Melt butter in olive oil in Dutch oven/large soup pot over medium high heat. Add onions & saute for 2 minutes. Add carrots & celery and cook, while stirring, for 3 minutes. Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds. Sprinkle in flour then cook, stirring constantly for 3 minutes (it will be thick).
Turn heat to low and gradually stir in 5 1/2 cups chicken broth. Whisk 2 tablespoons cornstarch with remaining 1/2 cup chicken broth and add to soup. Stir in ham, beans, Dijon mustard, bay leaves, bouillon and all remaining herbs and spices.
Bring to a boil; cover, and reduce to a gentle simmer for 15-20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Add tortellini and boil for 1-2 minutes or until cooked al dente. Stir in half & half.
WHITE CHOCOLATE, RASPBERRY & COOKIE DOUGH PROTEIN CHEESECAKE (thank me later) inspired by my beautiful friend @courtneypruce (she made an oreo version 🤤) Makes 8 slices (9g F, 16g C, 8g P - 183kcal) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍰 12 weightwatchers lemon & ginger biscuits
🍰 30g coconut oil
🍰 20g honey
🍰 180g 0% fat vanilla yoghurt
🍰 180g lightest philadelphia cheese
🍰 2 eggs
🍰 1 tbsp sweetener
🍰 15g white chocolate whey @myproteinuk 🍰 1 @battleoats double chocolate cookie

Crush the biscuits, melt the coconut oil and honey. Combine together and form a base in a tin - refrigerate for 1 hour. Mix together the yoghurt, philadelphia, eggs, sweetener & protein. Separate the cookie into pieces and roll into small balls. Then stir into the mixture with the raspberries and cook at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. YUMMMM 😍
