Who wants to try these delicious Sweet Potato Stovies? A slight adaption of a Scottish favourite (usually consumed at social events when you’re pished (Scottish for pissed 🏴🍠🥩🤓)
- 🙌 I got this recipe from my buddy @scottbaptie , it’s an absolute belter! Here’s it is in full. ⤵️
4️⃣ servings. 3️⃣5️⃣mins.
INGREDIENTS: - ➡️500 g lean steak mince, 1 clove of garlic, pressed, 20 ml Worcester sauce, 175 ml red wine or stock, 5 ml olive oil, 1 red onion - finely diced, 30 g tomato puree, sprinkling of mixed herbs, 700 g sweet potato - peeled and chopped, sprinkling of dried rosemary.
1️⃣ Bring a pan of water to the boil and add your sweet potato for 15- 20 minutes until they have softened.
2️⃣ Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in another large pan over a low to medium heat and add the onion and gently fry for a few minutes. Add the garlic and fry for a further minute before adding the mince to the pan and cooking until it has browned.
3️⃣ Add the Worcester sauce, tomato puree, rosemary and mixed herbs and a small glass of red wine to the mince, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
4️⃣ Once the sweet potatoes are ready, drain and mash. Add the mince mixture to the mashed sweet potatoes and thoroughly combine the mixture.
5️⃣ Serve and enjoy. 🤓🤓🤓 Calories per serving: 360 ➡️Macros per serving: 28g protein, 44g carbs, 8g fat. -
