I have done some of my favorite shoots on this slate corner background. Sadly it is not coming with me to the new studio, so if you want to shoot on it before it's gone, I have a few open sessions before I move into the new space April 1st. Please DM me for availability. @blairlawson_model @rockcandyphoto #rockcandyphoto#lastchance#darkandstormy I use @profotousa @profotoglobal #profoto#profotousa#nowbooking @athena_lee_rose
We’ve been traveling across Australia with Henry Rollins and @theroyals interviewing people who redefine tough.
What better place to start than rural Queensland on a huge property with farmer Dave Graham. Dave was raised to be tough, in places where the drought years are long and the flash flooding unpredictable, it’s the only way to get by.
But growing up in the country was tough for Dave for other reasons. To hear his incredible story check out the ‘Tough Conversations’ podcast on iTunes. .

"You know when sometimes you meet someone so beautiful, and then you actually talk to them, and five minutes later they're dull as a brick. But then there's other people, and you meet them and you think 'not bad, they're okay', and then you get to know them, and their face sort of becomes them, like their personality is written all over it, and they just they turn into something so beautiful..." ·
When taking these pictures with @rulison_photography I broke out into a set of what I refer to as "the giggle fits." Sometimes I get so tickled by something that I laugh and laugh and laugh. I always think I look ridiculous but this time James kept snapping through my giggle fit and this is one of the pictures that came of it. I'm pretty sure this is one of the most accurate depictions of my personality I've ever seen in a photo. ·

Today was photojournalist @maryellenmarkfoundation ‘s birthday she would’ve been 78. #MaryEllenMark has long been my favorite photographer and I discovered her work while still in high school (@steelphoto620 ) because of a book that @room620 had in the library. Her work was the reason I wanted to study photography in college. Mary Ellen said that “reality is extraordinary” and that has stayed with me since I heard it. I saw her last exhibit in New York City in August 2015 and I journaled in the last room of the exhibition after viewing it. I posted that journal entry on the blog today in honor of her birthday 💖

Day 79. Portrait of Antonella.
Since the project's first year I've wanted to invite Antonella Punzino to be the daily photo. It was great that today we could coordinate to do it, because this woman original from San Martin has made me spend one of the most fun mornings of the project. The photo reflects it.
Anto is a journalist, despite her short years she's already a big trajectory in several media (radio, TV newspapers) and already covering national jobs. Although she's a sexy bomb with a broadcaster voice, she's still humble and keeps her hood style. She's incredibly driven and has been fantasizing about her work since she was 8, playing a presenter, and now she earns a living doing that. I'm convinced her generation will change the media, and it's great to know and watch her grow. Hard work and always with a smile, no magic recipes.
It's an honor to have you in this project! Go kick ass!
