“The leaves are dry, preserved and welcoming. The veins are still warm enough to feel and as it happens I have squished possibilities through the countless sins of crushing my own happiness. I look up with the warm, dry, welcoming and preserved leaf in between my tattooed fingers; if you haven’t felt it yet, let me tell you.... I haven’t either.” - #athodahatkeseries
Jerome - "What I love about my culture is the countries and culture. The vibe from the older generation and seeing where I come from is like no other. The music and the food is and always will be something I enjoy.
Changes that I would like to see is more togetherness. At times it's like crabs in a bucket. Someone always pulling others down if they see someone doing great things. Would love to see a lot more supporting other especially those making a difference
A positive experience I've had is going to a countries that my parents were brought up in and seeing where they come from and the history behind my culture. Extremely humbling
A negative experience I've encountered is being prejudged based off my name or the way I looked.
Be the change you want to see in others🙌🏾"
