Coming out of the come down after coming out of Adelaide Fringe 😉
Thanks to our darling venue @rajhouseadl, Joel and Flora you put together a stellar team, and we are so grateful. Raj House was a haven. 🌈🌈🌈
The Adelaide Fringe @adlfringe supported us so generously. Shout out to a few cats in the office Jo, Dani, Jason xo
And that glorious Heather, what a woman. 🌸🌸🌸
I consented to the lollipop from Nurse Nancy before the show started. I didn’t consent to the stitches I got in my sides watching Nosfer-arse-tu by PO PO MO CO..
@po_po_mo_co are masters of the craft of absurdist comedy. A very funny, silly, snort inducing production.
The month long Adelaide Fringe has closed for another year. Some years I’ve seen plenty of shows, sometimes only one. This year was it was one and only one and I’m very glad it was this one.
Last night I got to fulfil a long time dream... performing John Berryman’s poem Dream Song 14. I memorised this poem over 6 years ago and have never found the right place to recite it, what with its ominous first line: “Life, friends, is boring” and the absurd final stanza that descends into recursive dream logic, there never seemed to be the right context. With a minor rewrite (gently incriminating a well known comedian and various Fringe venues), a voice deeper than usual owing to spruiking PO PO MO CO on the Gluttony corner all evening, and a made-up face and costume (including top hat) that suggests Gothic Victorian dandy, I intoned: “I conclude now I have no / Inner Resources / because I am heavy bored”. I have found endless play in the character of The Doctor in Nosfer-ARSE-tu and it was “delightful”, as The Doctor would say, to share my passion for poetry to a receptive audience in the spirit of pantomime, idiocy, The Fringe (and filling time because there was a tech problem). Thank you Midnight Moonlighters.
Thank you House of Raj.
Thank you Mr. Berryman.
OMG myself and @clairekoolkat are reunited at Adelaide Fringe - we first met here in 2013 as super babies, now we back as ugly toddlers with mums make up on. This is our hawt venue @rajhouseadl bloody good job JOEL JOEL JOEL!!! #popomoco @adlfringe #queercomedy#adelaide
If Hallie Goodman told me she was responsible for the Red Moon Eclipse I would believe her. She is so generous, talented and sardonic... I love sharing a rehearsal and dressing room with her and being burnt alive on stage in an operatic fashion every night of this #midsumma season.
