EAT BREAKFAST BEFORE A MORNING WORKOUT
You be gone 6 to 8 hours without eating. To kick your metabolism into high gear you need to give it fuel.
Fuel for your body will help reboot your metabolism. Like a banana or a slice of peanut butter toast. 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌 I know when I have a pre-workout meal, I have the energy for my workout. The best part is that I have the results I am looking for when my body is properly fueled and my metabolism is working in high gear!
This is how you do a rest day! Stretch, release, and be productive. Normally I’d be food prepping and meal planning, but it’s cookie season, so that’ll be my evening activities.

I intended to share this earlier as a way to start the day on a high note but ending it that way works just as well. I'm very pleased with this number being as I had my monthly visitor during my first week on Freestyle. 2/18/18
🙋🏼♀️ I needed new before/progress pictures & some accountability 🙋🏼♀️ This past 1.5 months I have been stuck at the same weight & that needs to change.
I know I talk about how the scale isn’t the best measurement of your success BUT when you have a lot of weight to lose like myself it should be moving & if I’m being honest with myself I know exactly why.
My exercise is always on point so I could use the excuse of “ I’m gaining muscle so that’s why the scale hasn’t moved” but we all know it’s 80% nutrition and 20% exercise (maybe even less). With Max coming here, traveling, the holidays, birthdays etc. my nutrition has been on point about 60% of the time and that just isn’t going to cut it.
I’m excited to say I haven’t gained weight during this crazy time but it’s time to be 95% on point with my nutrition as I was before. I also will get back to posting progress pictures once a month (should of never stopped that 🤦🏼♀️) so I can be held accountable.

🍃More than a little excited about having ALL the spinach and kale this week.🍃 I will add spinach to anything - shakeo, sandwiches, salad, green smoothies, errthang. 🤷♀️Even with that, I can’t get behind all of this before it goes limp so I will be prepping it for the freezer. Once I have my dental surgery I’ll be on soft food for a few days. 🌱 This will be lots of green smoothies for me, which I LOVE. Give them a try!
To freeze greens:
- measure greens into a small blender
- add a bit of water💦
- pour into ice cube trays
- once frozen, put in freezer safe bag❄️
- add to shakeo and smoothies!
After doing this a few times, I know the consistency needed to have three cubes equal one 💚 green container. These don’t change the flavor of smoothies (I promise!), but help get your veg in every day!🤸♀️

Buffalo Cauliflower “wings”. Recipe from @myriamtheveganfoodie! First time ever making cauli like this and I was impressed. However, I have been throughly spoiled with the crispiness that comes from deep-fried cauliflower. Thinking about getting an air fryer to achieve a more crispy result 🤔
What we say to ourselves matters. Like a lot. If we say something is going to be too hard. It will be. If we say we don’t like it. We won’t. If we say we can’t. We can’t.
I have been trying to flip the switch in my head and thoughts when it comes to this one cardio workout that is a complete beast. In phase 2 we go from each move done for 4 reps to 6 reps. I have been dreading allllll week.
BUT I have dug back into my personal development this week and working on getting my mind right. ✊🏻 So I legit drove back to Mass from Maine (an hour) saying to myself, “I like cardio flow, cardio flow is easy for me.” Over and over and over again.
Honestly, it was the best cardio flow I have done- even though it is hard than all others. Why, because I told myself it was going to be.
Even if you don’t know how it can happen...keep saying it!! You brain doesn’t know any better, it will start to believe you and the thoughts you keep pumping through it. It’s kinda magical ❤️ Let’s all work on flipping the switch, be conscious of our inner self talk and what we are really saying to ourselves. 😘😘 Then let the magic happen 💕

My self worth was determined by the opinions of others until I learned otherwise.
This journey I share with you, the physical changes, are all made possible because I learned to change my mind. I learned self belief. I learned I was in control of the quality of my life.
I learned that set backs are set ups for comebacks.
