🔶️IN MOTION foundational movement series - PLANK🔶️ Plank is the most fundamental bodyweight movement.
The plank builds foundational core strength while engaging arms, shoulders, lats, glutes and quads.
Although it looks simple, errors can occur when performing a plank (swipe for more details):
🔸️place wrists under shoulders for effective stabilisation.
🔸️press away from the floor and squeeze armpits into body to engage lats.
🔸️push through toes to keep hip/back alignment and tuck hips forward by squeezing glutes.

I’ve posted this before but for anyone interested in the plank challenge I’m doing this is it! —————————-
I just completed 2 minutes 40 seconds! OMGOSH I won’t be surprised in the days to come if I’ll be having to repeat some days
At this point, I can’t imagine making it for 5 MINUTES, but that’s where mindset comes into play I suppose! I’m going to keep on pushing through this challenge until I reach the 5 minute goal even if it takes longer than 30 days to get there! 😈💪🏼
I chose this challenge because without a doubt my core is my weakest point...even as a kid I couldn’t do sit ups in P.E. (or pull ups which is another fitness goal of mine) 😂🤣
Plank / Push-up challenge from the one and only @maxfit !!! Thanks for always inspiring!
I inverted my front kettlebells for some extra stability work. @rockfittraining @tiffness.fitness @bearheartfit let’s see what you got!
