Behold: the "Boreal Beach," in all of its complete and naturally occuring glory! Once in a while you happen upon this rare treat; a pseudo tropical climate nestled within the clandestine reaches of Northern Alberta. Here, the Boreal Beach Bums (B3's) gather in tribes, united under the banner of the Sun. In this picture, I have captured the member of a tribe, nominated by the others to hold the Golden Ring, used to represent the Sun itself. An integral role in the ceremony of light, in which all of the remaining tribes dance, surrounding the bearer of the Golden Ring, as a means to give offering and prayer to the sun. In hope that they might actually get enough vitamin D in this region of the hemisphere.
Seriously, man, ain't nobody got enough vitamin D in Alberta!
