Guess who’s back? Ha ;) After a not-so-fun finger laceration, I was out of the inversion game for a while. 
I always do what’s right to assist the healing of my body, putting my ego aside. And, putting pressure on my hand would not have been the best idea, even though I wanted to continue the #headstandchallenge I embarked on with @rawtoeresa 😘
🌱🌀I loaded up on superfoods that support healing like #phycocyanin and #mangosteen. I continued my #rawdiet which gives me the enzymes and non-degraded #phytonutrients my physical being needs.
🙏🏼 I gave #gratitude to my finger for healing so well and utilizing the nutrients to support it’s return to normal.
🐸 I also sat with Kambo 3 times in one lunar cycle, hence the burn points on my upper back (not seen, my inner ankle where the first application of medicine was placed). #Kambo is not for everyone, so make sure you do your research and find the perfect practitioner before you commence any medicinal journey. 🙌🏼 We are capable of healing ourselves, we just need to know how to best support our healing with plants and intention!

Oven roasted (@400°F for 30min) parsnips, beets, sweet potatoes and carrots (all unpeeled) with olive oil + satueed (over low heat) portabella and crimini mushrooms, onion, garlic, pumpkin puree, celery, spinach, chicken stock, Himalayan pink salt, whole black peppercorns, basil, thyme, oregano, sage, turmeric, cumin,  and adobo seasoning + Vitamix (or any blender/immersion blender of choice) and enjoy the delicious, hearty soup!  Could be a sauce for a pasta dish.

Bananas are usually found in everyone’s fruit bowl as they’re a great source of nutrients plus they make an ideal portable snack. They give a good dose of fibre, particularly resistant starch, potassium, vitamin B, vitamin C, antioxidants and phytonutrients - chemicals produced by plants to help them (and in turn anyone who eats them) stay healthy. Bananas are also a good source of prebiotics that will feed the good bacteria in your gut. 
Bananas have a relatively high GI (glycemic index) compared to some fruits which means they increase your blood sugar levels quite quickly. You can slow down this release of energy by eating a banana along with a lower GI food, such as a small handful of nuts or a spoonful of nut butter. Carbohydrates with a low GI value are more slowly digested, absorbed and metabolised and cause a lower and slower rise in blood glucose and, therefore insulin levels. Here are my favourite banana recipes:

I decided to juice the papaya seeds as well because outside of the amazing health benefits of just the fruit, the seeds pack their own long list of incredible super powers! This was definitely an interesting experiment - we both really liked it, but decided we needed to scrape out more of the “potato part” next time because that was most of the meal! So don’t skimp on that part like me lol 🤦🏼‍♀️

You will need 2 organic russet potatoes, organic pizza sauce (with no sugar!), chicken & pepperoni (or meat of your choice!), olives, salt and pepper. Optional: I dipped it in @tessemaes creamy ranch 😍

Preheat oven to 425F. Poke holes in the potatoes with a fork & cover with olive oil. Bake for 40min. Let cool for 10min. Lower oven to 400F. Cut the potatoes in half and scoop out the inside of the potato. Place back into the oven face down for 5 min & then face up for 5 min. Fill with pasta sauce, chicken & pepperoni (or your choice of meat!), olives, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for another 8-10 min or to your preferred crispness. Enjoy!

Sure, if you eat burgers and fries, brownies, cookies, etc you’re gonna overeat much easier — but also know these are mainly high carb/high fat foods — some of which aren’t filling at all, leaving you hungry again within an hour or two.

Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes — rely on those and their nutrients, fibre, and the fact your body loves to use them to fuel exercise.

Fruits and vegetables? Experts seem to believe we barely even yet understand the tiny phytonutrients in these. Like there are more than we know of yet, so we may not even know the full benefits of fruits and vegetables — even if no one argues against vegetables, and few argue against fruits.

Starches? They tend to come with fibre, at least the cleaner types like potatoes, and other sources like oats and beans. No one seems to have an eating problem created by these — unless you start laying “other stuff” on top.

We have essential proteins, essential fats but no essential carbs. But fibre, micronutrients, and these phytonutrients appear to be essential as well — and they come plentiful in carb foods.
