How is your Sunday going on? .
Yesterday read an interesting article from @kinoyoga in the @elephantjournal. Really made me think about this...last weeks and days I have thought a lot in how this yoga world is turning into (by some people)...I understand you can't survive only giving yoga classes and have to make contracts with yoga brand companies...
But no fall in companies who enhance your profile by buying fake followers, likes or comments...this not pure from yoga soul!
Don't let them make you feel undervaluated, because they don't really appreciate your talent or your teaching classes! @mintyogini also wrote about this issue...
Don't creep blooding your knees in companies' door giving them whatever they ask in order of having a pair of leggings...
Don't lie to people about quality, only because you are sponsored by this brand...
Don't make "fake" giveaways...
Don't take profit from others yogis/yoginis on insta...
If we don't let them threaten us, we will win more, they will understand this is not a fair way of playing...
These are few things I am thinking about these days...what do you think?
#OpenYourselfToSpring day eight
I honestly stumbled into science communication and then fell in love with it. I got my first taste at #3MT , developed the skills to be a successful communicator through #FameLab , and miraculously landed myself gigs with @DiscoveryAUS and @ABCinSydney alongside my science idols @doctor_karl @nessyhill @dr.a.duffy @alicemundo and @that_astro_kitten
My science communication addiction is fuelled by my love for science. I am wholeheartedly passionate about what I’m doing and I can’t imagine myself doing anything else-I literally want to be an active science communicator for the rest of my life.
Science is not an easy thing to pursue, like all career paths it is faced with road bumps and set backs- but this online science community continually motivates me to persevere. I have never in my life felt this much support or belonging.
There are thousands of us sharing why we #scicomm with the #ScientistsWhoSelfie hashtag. I am honoured to be a part of this uplifting community of strong scientists. Let’s countdown to our big day 🎓~ Commencement ceremony, The beginning of his Phd. student life and the beginning of my real world. 🎓😘😍😝
This memories was taken through my カコエイphotographer’s eyes. Noppon Umnajwannaphan 😍 Thanks for coming and save a part of our memories. 🎉🎂🎊🎓🇯🇵 #graduationpictures#tmdu#tokyotech#phdlife#graduation#graduationceremony#phdlife#phdstudent#shibuyacrossing#mymemories
I’ve spent the last two days cooped up inside my study trying to finish a report. And just like that the weekend is almost over 😳😭😒 I also start a run of 14 shifts in a row tomorrow [God help me please] Not entirely sure if I can get through it unscathed 😂😂😂
It is done! This (plus some more books) is the material history of the 6 years I spent working on my PhD. I finally got around to cleaning everything out of my old workspace so a bright-eyed young postgrad can finally inherit my desk. It's a weird feeling - see you later, 519!
Really excited to be touching down in Mi’kma’ki in May for the ANSUT Indigenizing the Academy Conference in Membertou (Sydney, Cape Breton). Can’t wait to hear all of the great talks folks at the conference have planned and to visit folks at Unama’ki College in CBU. #phdlife#ansut#mikmaki#cbu#capebreton#unamakicollege
Goodbye old, dimly lit, poorly furnished, oddly smelling, tiny and depressing pre-tenure office.. We've been through a LOT together, some of it wonderful, some of it too awful to even be publicly acknowledged.. 😩😩😩 I can't say I'm sad to see you go but .. thanks for the memories? 😑 #movingonup#phdlife#proflife#academia

Why I do #scicomm :
1. #Science is for everyone. Its our moral duty as scientists to share knowledge utilizing any possible medium. .
2. To break #stereotypes ... people in science are normal human beings ... not robots... not emotionless! They have a life very similar to others... they enjoy sharing their adventures.. their likes and dislikes... just like anyone, anywhere!
3. Scientists have many many bad days in hope of one meaningful finding... they can feel very isolated or lonely ... spending 3/4 of the day in lab or at desk... #scicomm connects them to the rest of world.
4. I #scicomm to spread awareness and motivate young generation to take part in #STEM fields for a better #world .
