LETS TALK BODY DYSMORPHIA. ⠀
⠀
For as long as I can remember, I have always been insecure about certain parts of my body.
I would OBSESSED about my stomach fat, my non tigh-gap, my small chest.
I would do crunches everyday to try to tone my stomach and leg exercises to lose tight fat. ⠀
One day we were talking about it with my sister and she told me "I wish I had your legs". I was like "Whut ??!" I seriously thought she was joking.
It wasn't until I started taking care of my body again that I realized how DISTORTED my vision was.
Its like I was seeing myself in a whole new way. I realized how I would ONLY, and I really mean ONLY see my imperfections in the mirror. I'd see my love handles. I'd see my stomach. I'd see my fat. Then I'd get mad and walked away from the mirror, almost crying
❗️It is a serious issue.
I do not pretend to have a miracle answer. The best I can do is raising awareness on the subject so people can realize they are not the only one suffering from it. For me, getting into weightlifting & yoga helped me to become so in phase with my body. Talking with friends also help getting it off your chest.
Whatever you are going through right now, remember you are not alone 💛

🔹1 cup cooked pasta

🍝Save some cals by
🔸Replacing 1/2 cup pasta with zoodles (but still keeping 1/2 cup pasta!)
🔸Use less mince (100g) and choose extra lean
🔸Add 1 grated carrot, a fresh tomato and extra grated zucchini
🔸Start cooking with a small amount of water instead of oil

Almost 3 years ago, I was an 18 year old girl who weighed 180 pounds, and had the lowest self esteem any human could possibly ever have😪 and for a whole year, life for me wasn't exactly the happiest place to live😩 At age 20, I told myself that I wanted to be better, healthier, and most importantly, I wanted to be HAPPIER! Almost a year ago, I decided to change my lifestyle for the better but, I didn't just want the change for myself, I wanted it for others as well as I began to lecture all who asked "Prisca how did you do it"💪😽 Moving forward, although I had a passion for fitness at the time, I also had ABSOLUTELY no idea on how to train, no clue on how to train each muscle group, and absolutely no knowledge on how many times/hours I needed to train to achieve my goal, which also almost made me give up because I realized the more I exercised, the more I kept losing at places like my bum🍑 so it kept getting smaller instead of GROWING!!!😩All jokes aside, I remember doing cardio almost everyday until I decided to give a new workout plan I made up to see if change would come a go which required me only doing cardio 1-2 times a week for about 30 and weight train 2-3 times a week for at least 2 hours per day which worked wonders for me thanks to LIFTING😀🍑🙌 This is all to say "TRAINING" is not so bad once you get the right help and know what you are doing, you will soon begin to love it and your results🙌
