Alright guys I am almost 6 weeks into my prep and I thought I’d share how this experience is going for me so far. I can definitely say that preparing for a #BikiniContest is SERIOUS work. I practically live at the gym, my diet is super strict, and my social life has changed significantly - yup I’ve gone 6 weeks without drinking, WILD, I know. But, with all that I am loving this process. Sure I am missing burritos and partying, but I love my current mindset. I haven’t been this goal driven in a long time. It feels so good to put all my energy into something and be passionate about it. I’m working my ass off and I feel proud and determined. This process has also shown me a whole different side of the fitness industry and has me really thinking about my career and where I want to end up. Going through prep has taught me so much about my body and has given me a better understanding of exercise physiology, which I LOVE! I’m trying to go through prep in the healthiest way possible, which isn’t easy, sooo many ladies destroy their bodies for these competitions! I haven’t endured the dreaded #peakweek yet, and I’m sure that will have me feeling some type of way, but for now I’m feeling great😊
#throwbackthursday bringing it back to the first ever @minnesotamayhem . This is the final destination and fourth class in a row where I would fall short as runner up that year in my open classes. The next show I did I not only won my class, but the overall as well. I was blessed and thankful to God for that day, and entire fall. Wonderful memories in my history to always look back on. I met a lot of amazing people, worked hard to achieve my goals, and ended my season on Southbeach with a new friend. I’ll never forget 2015. 😎🏆 FOLLOW: @tytanium_king

Last 2 days of prep! I have been thinking back on how far I’ve came. All the hard work I’ve put into dropping weight/fat, pushing through reps and controlling my plate. It’s been a long ride and now that I am 2 days out I don’t want to leave the prep focus. I’ve pushed myself into doing the best I could. I want to continue this focus and continue pushing myself to newer limits. I want to inspire others that they too can change their bodies. You don’t have to give excuses! You don’t have to have a strict diet! You just need to have the focus and trust the process! ✌🏽
Rocking my favorite superhero gear today and my name sake 😂. Yesterday was far and away the most challenging. Brings me back to the long days of basic training when your starving and tired. Only then I wasn’t almost 40 years old haha. Down close to 7lbs this week alone but we’ve reached the top of the mountain and the downhill slope begins today. Excitement and nerves are kicking in and posing sessions are longer. Last year I had Charlie and maybe two other people come support me at my first show. This year, I am blessed enough to say I have both my parents, my boyfriend, my bestfriend, my brother, Team G-Fit athletes&coaches, and a whole crew of people I’ve connected with through the fitness community here to come out and support me at my second show 🙏🏽 All of you coming to support us athletes at our shows have NO IDEA how much we appreciate and are grateful for the love and support because we honestly wouldn’t be as fueled to push ourselves without you 🔥🔥🔥
I will dearly be missing my original prep partner and teammate Saturday; but I am extremely excited for both of us to smash these physiques on stage this weekend at our separate shows 💪🏽 Thanks for always supporting me from day one @chuck_the_man I AM SO FRICKIN PROUD OF YOU 💪🏽❤️🙌🏽

It’s crazy to think that investing less than $100/month toward my health has allowed me SO much freedom!
I have gotten in the BEST shape of my life and am getting one step closer EVERY DAY to the best financial state, too!

Last workout of this prep complete ✅ Working 12-14 hour days at my job is not what I would have preferred during peak week, but when I’m tempted to feel sorry for myself, I remember that I choose this job and I choose to compete, and they are both opportunities, not chores. No one is making me do this but me 😊
