Sitting in the 'Colony: Frontier Wars' exhibition contemplating our history.
Everyone should take the time to listen to our Aboriginal sisters and brothers share their perspectives of this dark chapter of our collective story. Only through awareness can we build the respect and deep understanding that are the foundations of reconciliation.

I remember that time Lilo (@lilorosh) and I decided to 'legalize' our live-in relationship with a certificate. We did not like the idea of a traditional marriage, neither did we follow any religion. So things were easy and quick. With my parents, we went to the subregistrar's office and put down the first set of signatures. After around 80 days, we came back from Bangalore for the second and final registration of the marriage. Lilo's parents and a few of my cousin's joined us this time around. While most of the family and extended family accepted the idea with open hearts, a handful of relatives did find it hard to digest and dismissed the news saying the marriage is bound to break apart soon as it wasn't religiously sanctioned. Today marks our 6th year anniversary 🙃.
🇸🇻I have a million beautiful photos from my trip to El Salvador, but the images that mean the most to me are from this night.
While in my fathers beautiful country, I jumped on stage with him in front of 300 men and we shared our testimony. We shared our journey of being reunited, our emotions after being connected and even the challenges we faced when we first met and were unable to speak the same language to express what we were thinking and feeling.
For years my father wrote down on his prayer request that we would be reconnected. For years I dreamed and hoped I would finally meet him.
Our testimony has become one of the biggest drivers in pulling me closer to my faith. It’s the most tangible example I can give my friends of what Gods grace looks like. Two years ago this summer was the first time I talked to my father. It was the first time I even became aware my father was alive.
This beautiful story will forever feel like a dream. Our story is forever growing and my life will forever be changed.
Papa and I drove two hours to speak for 20 minutes, but the conversations we were able to have in that drive were some of the most precious moments we may ever have. We talked about life. We discussed our faith, values, relationships. We uncovered our flaws.
Growing up I always wanted the opportunity to have those conversations with my father and I’m finally living out that dream. We are sharing our story with others while slowly growing together.
If I told you all of this has been easy I would be lying. The past two years have been absolutely amazing, while also being a complete emotional roller coaster. For years I wrote off that I would actually be reconnected with my father. I told myself it was a childhood dream. I have never been more wrong about something in my life.
No matter how impossible something may seem, have faith. Your world can take a completely different turn from the road you are on in a matter of seconds.
God is so good. Mine and my fathers story of being united is a small sample of the amazing things God is capable of.

These past few months my insomnia has went into operation overdrive thanks to my arch-nemesis, Anxiety. (to me, anxiety trumps depression. It's the worst of the worst. Like, if anxiety was an STD, it would be gonorrhea. It's the gift that keeps on giving, and it controls your life, and every time you try to hide that you have it, no matter what it pops up, ruining every special moment you try to have) So every night, while everyone is sound asleep, I'm staring at the ceiling, over analyzing situations in my head, and scolding myself for everything I could have done better, and then freaking out. I keep thinking that I'm ruining my daughter's childhood, and that when she grows up, all she will remember of her past is being sick, and having a super dysfunctional family. What if she doesn't remember all the fun things we use to do pre-toxic mold!?! But, thanks to Lenny pushing random buttons on snapchat today, I found out that every snap you make is stored in memories. I decided to make Lenny a little video, so that the next time she's sad, we can just watch this, and hopefully laugh together. When I showed it to her after dinner tonight, she watched it like 6x's, and then ran up to me and gave me the biggest hug ever. How cool is it that my best friend not only shares the same last name as me, but is also the coolest person I know!?! I will say that people have always said that Lenny reminds them of me, and I finally see it, after watching these (I have yet to decide if that is a good thing, or terrifying🤔) Happy Friyay, y'all!! Hope it was a good one!! 👏👏👏
Don’t be afraid to fail, be afraid to not try 💪🏽
To all my new followers that may not know our story. My wife and I have been consuming the Herbalife products for 3 years and have gotten amazing results. My wife has lost 32lbs and gained confidence she never had. I’ve been able to drop 30lbs and cut my body fat % in half. It all started with a new year resolution that turned into a lifestyle, thanks to the guidance support and accountability provided by our community. Our friends and family started noticing our change and we decided to take on the Herbalife opportunity and pay it forward. The very first month we made an extra 237.90 and that showed us that the opportunity was real. Since then my wife has been able to quit her dental assistant job that she had for over 12 years and now works our Herbalife business full time from the comfort of our home. We help people all over the world reach their health goals and are always looking for people wanting to pay it forward to their friends and family. •

Biar terus update ceritanya yuk bantu follow, like & share post ini :)
The Evans Family Mission of 2017:
Lock up the families of Shelley, Idaho in a dark jail cell and give them just 60 minutes to figure out our clues for a wild and thrilling escape experience together.
We started from scratch and did it the long way. When we needed to build a jail cell, my son took welding lessons. When we needed to create a surveillance system, my teenagers took charge. When we needed to install track lighting, we watched Youtube. For the record, you can learn just about everything on Youtube. And we did. :) We spend 4 months remodeling and tweaking our old sign shop and turning it into an Escape Room. It is a perfect building for this. Before moving to Oregon, eight years ago, we lived in an apartment over The Four Sisters Sign Shop for seven years. I raised my boys in that building. Years ago, when they were just little, we cut a hole in the upstairs apartment and installed a curly slide that went through the main floor and into the basement. A building equipped with secret passageways and slides NEEDS to be an escape room!
After months of hard work, it was thrilling to watch families and friends Escape South State.
As we are tweaking the website and making sure everything is working, please enjoy this design on us!

Well hello there Surrogacy Page 👋🏼 It’s so amazing to be back and see all the beautiful new babies you have welcomed into the world.
Over 4 months ago now I took some time off from IVF, Surrogacy and also this Instagram page. Over 3 cycles, 2 years, 2 failed attempts and 1 miscarriage, my relationship, self worth and faith in the world we live in diminished. I simply couldn’t keep going. Now after some time to regain and regroup we are ready to tackle this roller coaster journey again. This time stronger.
As you may or may not know, in Australia Surrogacy is not assured with government funding or any assistance. Each cycle is over $20k Au and on top you have 2x legal expenses, multiple counselling sessions that are $$ plus medications. Luke and I have spent over $40k+ for the cycles and although this is still a big dream of ours we are needing help. We have set up a GoFund me page (something we would never normally do) and are asking for everyone to share. Not only will this help us with bringing our rainbow baby into the world, we are hoping this will raise awareness into exactly how hard Surrogacy is for Australian couples. I will post our link in my bio soon. Please. Share!! Xx L 💋
#Abolition of #slavery in #puertorico Leaders of the #PuertoRican#abolitionist movement, including José Julián Acosta, Francisco Mariano Quiñones, Julio L. de Vizcarrondo, Ramón Emeterio Betances and Segundo Ruiz Belvis, waged a long struggle to end slavery on the island. On March 22, 1873, the Spanish National Assembly finally abolished slavery in Puerto Rico. The owners were compensated with 35 million pesetas per slave, and slaves were required to continue working for three more years.

I don't need a day to celebrate this pup, but... #NationalPuppyDay is a great excuse. Biscuit baby came into my life when he was 11 months. 🐾
His past is a complete mystery and your guess is as good as mine regarding his background. I adopted Biscuit from the shelter @thegbhs while he was a nervous wreck and full of anxiety. He chose me. 🐾
He's come out of his shell a good bit since then, but we're taking it day by day. He's a spunky terrier with strong loyalty to his mommy. 🐾
It's totally worth it. Adopt, rescue and provide a home to orphaned puppies and doggies instead. #adoptdontshop
An animal shelter - Knox County Humane Society in Galesburg, IL, gives shelter dogs old armchairs to sit on. They posted a video of the dogs enjoying the armchairs that the public donated. What a good place to send your old furniture rather than throwing it away. SHARE 👇🏼 YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS! ✨ 🐶 ♥️
