Renovations update. All the contractor’s work is now done!!! The wall is down, every light in the gym has been changed with new ones, the lock has been change to the programmable proximity key fob type of lock, and the carpet in the front has been replaced....so PLEASE wipe your feet, and don’t eat or drink up there...keep it on the rubber floor. All the bikes, except one or two, will be moved, and more strength equipment will be added. Hopefully by next week I will have this room’s floor completely covered in rubber flooring. I hope you all enjoy the space and all the new equipment I’ve gotten, and will get. Thanks for being a part of this gym, team, and culture here. I appreciate it!!

Carioca Crossover Acceleration (or grapevine + accel)
Here's a cool little drill I will do with most field and court athletes. Looking for them to drive across the body with their knee and create good dissociation between hips and shoulders. From there they then punch laterally into the ground as a crossover step. After 3 or so reps they then turn their crossover step in to an acceleration and stride out.
Not my best work but I’m still learning. After having an already long week and now getting sick I’d say getting there is an accomplishment in itself. Also please appreciate @sydgriggs and her “crab walks” #goodeffort#olympiclifting
Halt clean + jerks today up to 81kg/178#! This one was 78kg.😁 a little forward but when you have the pro videography you just roll with it.🤷🏽♀️ Week 1 is fun so far. Lots of neat variations like this while we're still far out from meet time!😁
