I didn’t plan on trying so much dessert in Koreatown. Here is a classic red bean ice with multi-grain powder and sweet rice cake on the side. Okrumong is named after ancient Korean novel. It’s even hard for Koreans to pronounce that name.

This particular beauty in the photo is called Zeppole Di San Giuseppe (Zeppole of St Joseph) which is celebrated on March 19th. It didn't take me long to find something to do with my We Are the Solution Fonio. I made @chefpierrethiam Lamb Shoulder Mafe with Fonio. This was so good we were groaning. The fish sauce gave it the perfect amount of funk, the chili gave it beautiful heat, and the Fonio was a pillowy dream. Thank you @chefpierrethiam for publishing such a well-constructed recipe that I could cook this to acclaim the very first time. It's in #nytfood .
