White stoneware, frog
4"x 2 1/2" x 1 3/4"
I have been experimenting with burning out organic material in the kiln for about a year and a half now. The poor frog was dried and crushed on a sidewalk when I found it. This piece along with many others will be present at the In/Human show at the Sykes Gallery at Millersville University which opens on February 26th at 5:00. The blue on the bones was caused by a reaction during firing. No glazes, oxides or any other colorants were used. I have been nervous about posting my animal burnouts and I want to assure you all that I did not harm any of the creatures that I collect for this practice.
Pesto Pork Chops for dinner although I'm not too hungry😛
Pesto and parmesan is pretty much the only thing to this, I salted and peppered(are those words or?) them, then spread pesto on them then topped with parmesan and baked for 20 minutes at 375°
