Exercise Of The Day: Spoto Press!
Named after Eric Spoto, who benches over 700 lb!
This is a great exercise if you struggle with controlling the bar and maintaining tension at the bottom. If you tend to bounce the bar off your chest, then this movement is for you.
By slowing the bar to a dead stop 1 inch off the chest, you have to use all the muscles in your upper body to stabilize the bar.
Plus, you aren't able to bounce it off or rest it on your chest so you end up maintaining tension throughout the entire movement!

Getting used to the powerlifting style of training, where you can be doing any combination of the squat, bench, and deadlift. Getting to bench press 4 days a week is awesome!
