I am sitting here about to fall asleep.
Smelling the wonderful aroma of Lavender Cedarwood and Tangerine floating down the hall way from the kids diffusers.
This would be one of my favourite blends of a night and the kids love it also.
Henry and Matilda often ask for the purple and orange bottles of oils. .
Would you like to try this combo yourself? If you are in #Australia and would like to smell this combo shoot me a message. Would love to send 5 samples to those that have never tried #younglivingessentialoils
This little lady is my absolute world. Being sleep deprived doesn’t even fuss me in the slightest because she is so perfect and I have so much love for her. No one can ever describe the love you have for your child. I just look at her and cry with pure happiness. 💗

Last night we had a girlie night in and @beatofafrica had an hour or so to chill. We started with a relaxing facial cleanse and finished with thus orange/plum toned eye and a nude lip 💛

Why do we not use armbands? 💦 If your little-one fell into water, it’s very unlikely they’d have armbands on. Water safety is an essential part of all our lessons, and we want each child’s experience in the water to be as realistic as possible. 💦 Developing a beautiful swimming technique is at the core of Swim Academy; and armbands inhibit correct alignment in the water. 💦 We use non-fitted buoyancy aids which allow children to push away from them when they are ready to be independent!
During our pregnancy we get the care and attention of the people around us and our health care professionals. But sometimes it seems that as soon as the babys born all that care and attention switches to them, and our health and happiness are pushed into the background.
It shouldn't be this way though! Our babies are SO much more likely to be healthy and happy if WE are.
It's really interesting that in cultures that are 'mother focused' in the first few weeks and months after birth (instead of 'baby focused'), the outcomes are better for both mamas AND babies.
So if we want to give our babies the best chance of health and happiness, we have to show ourselves just as much love and care as we show to our new babies.
Our newborns are still so completely connected to us, so when we are suffering they'll be affected too. We are not just incubators and milk machines - our wellbeings are tied together, and our babies need us to be as happy and healthy as we can be.
Babies are resilient, and they will survive and thrive whatever we do, and with whatever difficulties and complications we have - but when we look after ourselves first we make recovering from birth SO much less of a struggle for both ourselves AND our babies.
The best gift you can give your baby, your family and yourself is to take the time to recover after birth. Put the oxygen mask of love and care on yourself first mama! You'll be so much better able to care for and bond with that little baby well, and to enjoy these precious first weeks with your newborn 💛💛💛

The look of love.. At 4 days old Winston was moved out of Intensive Care, responding to his medication and was on the road to recovery.
Still, we felt helpless.
Our new baby boys hands looked like pin cushions from all the different tests, he was bruised, marked and wired up to different machines and monitors.
But Winston still looked at us with love not pain, full of innocence not resentment. Our strong, brave boy helped us more than he’ll ever know or remember.
During the 9 months of pregnancy, I never prepared myself for the ‘what if’. I read many books, attended classes, asked many questions but never considered it might all go wrong. Was that my first fail as a mother?
Of course every pregnancy and every birth was different, so why do we only hear about the perfect and not the complicated?

Just had my hair done by @silcity_hair. All beautifully coloured with caramel highlights, trimmed and blow dried. It’s been a while. During pregnancy it’s best to avoid putting color in your hair. Once I had my baby I was too busy nursing him. Now I’ve gone back to hosting my radio show it was time to get my hair done. I fell asleep in the salon chair. It was lovely treating myself. What do you think of this colour? #tanyatate#newhair#caramelhighlights#newmum#newmummy#newmom#pregnancymademyhairlong 💇🏼♀️

I'm getting so concerned for my brain... Baby Brain?? I feel like it's getting worse, potentially worse than when I was pregnant, but my brain is seriously not functioning at the moment. I don't know what's going on and it's getting scary. I'm just so forgetful. I'm forgetting huge life milestones of friends, which is just crazy in itself! People will say/show me something and it's gone, wiped from my memory, until it's brought up again; at first I haven't got a clue and look like terrible person but then the penny drops and I realise they have told me before. 🤦♀️ . .
I hope that makes some sort of sense and I guess I'm kinda hoping someone will say 'Me too' in the comments to put my mind at ease. I feel awful, and my friends and family must think I'm either loosing my shit or I'm just suddenly rude and not interested in there lives. Some days I struggle to have a full blown conversation without forgetting things half way through. 😣😣
Well today has been an adventure. Spew central this morning, followed by some messy play at playgroup. 🙈
We then took a walk in the sun to Granny's for a cuddle 💓. New outfit after a poonami situation. 💩 I think Imogens teeth are starting to bother her, poor wee lamb has been out of sorts this afternoon 🙃😷 Imogen has now found a comfy spot on my for a snoozy. 😴😍 Its hard being a baby. Xxx
To all the mamas out there - you are amazing ⭐️ Being a mother can certainly be challenging at times but every broken night sleep, messy floor, not knowing why you’re baby is crying, every poop explosion, projectile vomit, hair pulling, having a messy house with a pile of laundry to sort out, a dishwasher to empty, dishes to put away, dinner to make and a much needed shower, our babies make EVERY single thing worth it because those cheeky little smiles, the occasional giggles, falling asleep on you, the look of unconditional love, waking up to 5am chats, splashes at bath time, watching them try new foods, learning to roll, attempting to crawl, watching them nap peacefully outweighs everything. 💕💕💕
