If I were to describe my soul to you it would be this: the battered and beaten rocks, the broad sunsets, the long hours and the cold, frigid North Atlantic. We’re here because we can be. It isn’t easy but it’s ours.
After 20 years, I genuinely feel more like a New Yorker than a New Englander, but my routes are always there and this Christmas image from Maine just made me smile. Very New England (there was a lobster as a tree topper but it got cut off).
How to celebrate the first snow: Step 1. Steam some lobster. Step 2. Make a stock from the shells and other veggies and herbs. Step 3. Figure out how to make the lobster chowder. I'm still working on step 3, but the stock has another hour so I've got time. And damn does it smell good! #firstsnow#lobster#chowder#seafood#roceats#newenglandborn

Last day in this beautiful place before we move south. I've heard of the blue grass and the big skies...but nothing will ever replace the open ocean or the salt air. I'm a New England Boy at heart and I always will be. Salt water runs through my veins 🌊🌊🌊
Mean Old Tom is sure treating me nice 😘, Aged stout, vanilla bean what's not to like. 6.5% got to drink this one fresh. Sorry @yogojuju this guy couldn't wait any longer. @mainebeerco #dowhatsright#shedoesntdrinklightbeer
