Sometimes Gods greatest gifts are not always what we think they should be, but they are always what we need! My son fills my heart beyond a measurable level! Im so thankful for him! #mysquad#alwaysandforever#stayyou
This right here is the look of pure exhaustion! Today’s workout is one of the hardest I’ve ever done. It’s definitely a physical challenge but for me, it’s way more of a mental challenge. .
This workout is 45 mins of non stop cardio. I’ve never been a big fan of cardio/HIIT workouts but 3 years ago it all took a turn for the worst. I was struggling with terrible grief after the sudden loss of my brother and I started to develop panic attacks. I was getting all the symptoms: Shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, palpitations. I started to fear and anxiety and just avoided anything that would make my heart rate rise. So obviously, cardio training was off the list. .
Through some counseling, personal development that Ive been doing with my challengers, and encouragement from my accountability squad, I’ve slowly been able to reincorporate this typing of training back into my routine. Anxiety likes to poke its little head at me every now and then, but I’m light years from where I was! .
So here I am, totally and completely exhausted after this beast of a workout. But I’m showing up for my team because they are showing up for themselves. So glad I have this community to fall back on when things get tough and life gets hard! .
If you need need a community to lift you up and keep your motivated towards reaching those goal, reach out! We got you! Next group April 2!
Half Marathon lucky number 21 (and my 10th @nyrr #NYCHalfMarathon ). The ongoing saga of being told "your feet won't last through another race"... and me forever believing anything is possible (and opting for mind over matter). 🏃🏃 So what if I show up to black tie events (well really any event) in a formal dress and sneakers... anything to keep me running (and keep my injured feet happy-ish). 😂😉 Thank you to all for the cheering from near and far. #thankful#UnitedNYCHalf
