Holy smokes— social media has informed me that it’s already been a year since that fateful day when I met @bradridesbikes and @kurtperson and they taught me how to climb. I’ve been addicted ever since. You guys rule 🤘🏻
Is Madagascar on your bucket list? 🦁🐵
"Mother of the Forest"
My expedition through Madagascar was a challenging experience. It pulled me close to its people, their life story, their strength and struggle. It made me question our actions regarding the conservation of the planet and its nature. It made me doubt my abilities as a photographer. It made me be thankful for everything I have, and showed me to not take it for granted. It made me grow.
I really could not have asked more from this trip, it gave me a lot and asked a lot from me in return. I believe that I have been able to experience the two faces of Africa, their overwhelming natural beauty, and their social and human pain. I am so grateful for the opportunities of life that have brought me to this moment and that have led me to experience these realities and these feelings. Photography has totally changed my life and breaking free of our own bubble has transformed me.
For the moment I leave you with one of my favorite photographs of the trip: a mother among the baobabs, the iconic and sacred trees of Madagascar that symbolizes the mother of the forest, its protector.

You have this way of dipping in and out of sight as things collide
Bridges burning softly in the night
And you have this way of falling in and out of time as it goes by
Passing silently with no goodbye
As someone on their blog accurately stated it’s a bit like your “own personal version of jackass” to get down to the bottom of these falls, but definitely worth the payoff. #waterfallwednesday 💦 #oregon#tokateefalls
When you’re out touring, or hiking, in the winter you never know exactly how warm or cold your going to be. The ski gear from @orsdenski has been great to have because it’s not too bulky to shove in my pack, but it keeps me extra toasty when I need it.
2nd day of testing:
I’ve been working on a pair of touring adapters for personal use for a little while now. I had to make some repairs and modifications recently and have been able to test them out. I hope to showcase more of the engineering side of things. #engineersoutdoors
Well worth the 5:00am wake up call to make it up the pass in time to see the morning light appearing in the mountains ☀️. It will always be my favourite time of day!
Today we have headed up the very wet West Coast to start riding Old Ghost Road tomorrow! Super excited to get all soppy 💦🚵🏻♀️
