Big things happened this week! First, I earned my white coat! This means I finally get to start seeing patients!
Second, I'm down 2.6 pounds! I really didn't think I was going to have a loss this week after white coat celebrations, but here we are!! I have a cruise coming up in two weeks, so I need to keep up this hard work to pre-work off the weight I might gain on the cruise.
I decided to try and make some homemade protein balls. I made PB&J and chocolate and peanut butter and they came out delicious 😋 I can’t wait to make more of these little guys #myfitnessjourney#proteinballs
What does FREEDOM cost?...🇺🇸 To many, their freedom is only celebrated on a “holiday” or as an extension to their weekend. Many lay their head down at night without ever acknowledging how blessed they are they get to sleep in peace and what all is being sacrificed for them to do so... Men and women for decades have not only fought for our freedom, but have sacrificed their lives in order for us to live ours each and every day. I am proud to live in a country with the greatest people in the world fighting for my life every single day. You better thank your lucky starts that we have the best damn militarily in the world across all branches. The best first responders from medics, firefighters, and police officers. Without all of them we would have chaos.
There is so much evil in this world that most of us couldn’t even begin to grasp or understand. The more we realize what our lives could be like the more we can appreciate the way they are.
We live in an individualistic society full of selfishness, which sheds a bad light on this country and those who are “selfless”. Obviously everyone has their own views and opinions but I think we need to recognize and understand the importance of the sacrifices so many people make to defend our country and those who live in it.
Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier and first responder who died protecting it.
Many of you know that I track #macros — I’m sure some people think that’s obsessive or crazy, but honestly it gives me so much freedom. Since I follow flexible dieting, as long as I hit my micros, I am able to fit in any food I want into my day. Before tracking, I was severely undereating—and honestly had no idea.
Are you someone who currently doesn’t track and wants to but doesn’t know how?? Here are some tips:
➡️ start by tracking what you eat in a normal day. Don’t change anything-just eat normally and at the end of the day, sum it all up and look at your daily intake.
➡️ you will probably be surprised by what your intake comes out to be.
➡️ next, figure out your goal. Are you wanting to build muscle? If so you will want to gradually increase those calories. Do you want to lose fat? Assuming your caloric level is sufficiently high, you can start gradually decreasing those calories, (IF YOUR INTAKE IS HIGH ENOUGH) if not, I would consider reverse dieting—slowly increasing calories in order to boost the metabolism. Your body wants to stay in homeostasis, so by SLOWLY increasing calories each week, it will be harder for your body to put on fat. Likewise, if you’re hungry a lot and eating at low caloric levels, reverse dieting might be what is right for you.
➡️ tracking gives me so much freedom and I love the challenge of hitting my macros each day. It’s just as bad if you go under your macros as it is if you go over, because in order to assess at your results, you need to be tracking consistently and hitting your goals consistently.

Slowly but surely I'm making my way back. I've been getting up to walk around more often and I'm doing some stretching frequently to aid in healing.
It's slow going but it's going well. A day and a half ago I couldn't do this one. It feels great to making progress!
Day 4 - 80 Day Obsession

This was my first time recording my workout. Definitely helped me stay accountable to good form! Still getting used to those resistance bands and the strength slides but man, do they make you feel the burn.
Bring on Day 5! Tomorrow’s an 11 hour work today for me so I’ll be early rising ☀️
Besides nourishing my soul, I was also able to nourish my body this weekend at my new favorite place. @swdythebronx feels like HOME for some many reasons that don’t even fit into an IG caption. I love it here so much. Before the #JujuJambalaya event I got to take my comadre @_delitza to an Intro to pole class and we had the best girl time ever. Then we went out to eat and made it right on time to last nights event. This morning I took a Barre class and followed it up with another Intro to Pole class that I had the opportunity to host for all of you! Thank you @gigisplendid for being a phenomenal instructor and thank you to each and everyone of you who joined me in class today. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. It’s Sunday! Not going to lie I got up at 3pm today after being out til 4am last night 😰. However I have had a surprisingly productive day! 💪🏼 did my weekly shop and have prepped some food for tomorrow 🤤 and managed a killer upper body workout followed by 20mins of cardio this evening 👌🏻. I would just like to thank the gorgeous Hugh Jackman and the cast of The Greatest Showman for getting me through the cardio 😂😂🤷♀️. So yesterday I went dress shopping for Colours Ball and I was a bit emotional that when I was trying stuff on I felt like this is exactly how I want my body to look 🙌🏻. I have by no means ever thought I don’t have a good figure but I am super happy with what I have achieved over the last couple of months. It just shows that with a good diet and some discipline you can achieve everything you want to ❤️. I can now start to see my back growing and my waist coming in to reach my goal of getting that X shape ☺️. Overall feeling proud and greatful 👌🏻. Who doesn’t love a bit of body positivity on a Sunday Night?.
